Get to know Cash! Cash is a Mechelse herder of 4.5 years old. Unfortunately, he came to us because he had to say unexpected goodbye to his owner. This handsome fellow is crazy about toys and balls. His talent is playing football with a toy in his mouth. He likes to show off this trick when he's in a silly mood. Besides being a professional footballer, Cash is also very versatile. He already knows a few commands, but he's always up for learning more, which he picks up very quickly. We think he would enjoy detective work or activities like sports and play. He is, after all, a busy little guy and loves to do things together. Here, he finds it heartily cozy, but new people can be a bit daunting at first. In general, he experiences some stress here. It's not surprising when you suddenly find yourself in a new place, with the whole journey there included. That's why we focus on calmness and routine. We're looking for a stable household where he can do his thing and participate in activities with his human companion. Alone, he would, with proper buildup, eventually be able to. Walking, and especially steady progress, is something he enjoys. In his enthusiasm, he pulls on the leash. He's not a lightweight, so you need to stand firm. As the walk progresses, he becomes more relaxed. We're working on this, but it will still be an attention point for the new owner. Cash doesn't quite know what to make of other dogs. Maak kennis met Cash! Cash is een Mechelse herder van 4,5 jaartjes jong. Helaas is hij bij ons gekomen omdat hij onverwacht afscheid heeft moeten nemen van zijn baasje. Deze knappe vent is gek op speelgoed en balletjes. Zijn talent is dan ook voetballen met een speeltje in zijn bek. Dit trucje laat hij graag zien wanneer hij in een gekke bui is. Naast profvoetballer is Cash ook heel veelzijdig. Hij kent al een paar commando’s, maar bijleren vindt hij nooit erg, dit pakt hij dan ook erg vlot op. Wij denken dat hij speurwerk of bv. sport en spel ook heel leuk zal vinden. Hij is namelijk een bezig bijtje en vindt het erg leuk om samen dingen te ondernemen. Hier vindt hij het hartstikke gezellig met ons, maar nieuwe mensen zijn in het begin spannend. Over het algemeen ervaart hij hier best wat stress. Dat is ook niet gek als je ineens op een nieuwe plek bent, met natuurlijk de hele weg ernaartoe erbij. Daarom werken we vooral aan rust en regelmaat. Hierdoor zoeken wij een stabiel huishouden waar hij lekker zijn ding kan doen en samen met zijn mensenmaatje activiteiten kan ondernemen. Alleen zijn zou hij, mits rustig opgebouwd, uiteindelijk moeten kunnen. Wandelen, en vooral stevig doorstappen, doet hij graag. In zijn enthousiasme trekt hij dan ook aan de lijn. Hij is geen lichtgewicht, dus je moet wel stevig in je schoenen staan. Naarmate de wandeling vordert, wordt hij rustiger. We zijn hier al mee bezig, maar het blijft voor de nieuwe eigenaar wel een aandachtspunt. Cash weet niet zo goed wat hij van andere honden moet vinden.
