Together with her sisters Kira and Maggi, she was simply left somewhere near an unoccupied house at the edge of the woods. A quiet, remote place where no one looks and no one helps. For three such young dogs, this meant fear, disorientation, and fighting for survival every single day. No protection, no safety, no familiar human. And yet, Cherry endured. Somewhere along the way, they were found – a moment that changed everything. She was allowed to move into our foster home with Moni in Baia Mare. There, she currently lives in an outdoor area, together with a pack of dogs. Here, she is safe, gets food, and has contact with other dogs. But a real home does not replace that. It's only a transition, waiting for that one place where she can stay and truly belong. Cherry is approximately 4.5 months old and will likely grow to be medium-sized. She is a stunning puppy that catches the eye immediately. Her wonderfully curly fur gives her a nearly teddy bear appearance. The mix of dark gray tones and black makes her visually unique. Her dark facial mask accentuates her sharp, curious eyes in a special way. A small white spot on her chin and a light marking on her chest add loving touches. She still seems a bit tentative, as puppies should, but her sturdy build and large paws hint at her becoming a striking female dog. Soft floppy ears frame her face charmingly and highlight her lively, inquisitive nature. From her character, Cherry is a typical puppy: playful, friendly, and open. She meets people she knows with openness and understands herself well with other dogs. With new people, she is initially shy and prefers to sniff out who’s visiting first. Inherently, she likely has a hunting dog mix – and thus a fascinating combination of intelligence, sensitivity, and learning enthusiasm. Hunting dogs are known for working closely with their humans, observing attentively, and quickly understanding. Not only does she need exercise, but also mental stimulation and clear structures. Properly guided, she develops into a faithful, sensitive companion. When Cherry moves into her new home, everything will be new to her. New sounds, new rules, new people – she must learn to understand the world. Things like house training, being alone, or a structured routine are still unknown to her. Therefore, she needs people who meet her with patience and guide her step by step. A loving but consistent upbringing gives her security and orientation. Attending a positively working dog training class can be a valuable support and help build trust and attachment. Of course, as a young puppy, Cherry also needs the right mental stimulation. Playful learning, little outings, and age-appropriate tasks foster her development and bring her joy. Especially in a hunting dog mix, it's important to keep the brain engaged. At the same time, it should be ensured that she gets enough rest to process all the new impressions. And even though she is still small now: puberty will soon begin. This phase brings changes – boundaries are tested, what is known is questioned, and some things suddenly seem uncertain. This is a completely normal part of development that requires patience, understanding, and a clear, loving leadership. We wish Cherry a home full of warmth, empathy, and responsibility. People who don’t just find her cute, but are willing to accompany her on her entire journey. People who give her security and show her what trust feels like. Die etwa 6 Monate junge und rund 45 cm große Hündin Cherry hatte das große Glück, Mitte Mai dem Shelteralltag zu entkommen und in eine liebevolle Pflegefamilie nach Berlin zu ziehen. Dort zeigt sich die hübsche Fellnase von ihrer allerbesten Seite. In ihrem aktuellen Zuhause lebt das junge Hundemädchen harmonisch mit zwei Katzen, drei Hunden und Kindern zusammen. Es ist wirklich beeindruckend, wie schnell sie sich in das bestehende Rudel integriert und ihren Platz gefunden hat. Cherry ist bereits stubenrein, kann eine Zeit lang alleine bleiben und genießt vor allem die Nähe zu ihren Menschen und tierischen Freunden. Die kleine Maus ist sehr verschmust und anhänglich, liebt Streicheleinheiten und verteilt dabei nur allzu gerne zarte Küsschen. Gleichzeitig bringt sie aber auch eine angenehme Ruhe mit: Sie kann wunderbar entspannen, liegt während des Familienessens ruhig dabei und zeigt keinerlei Interesse daran, sich unerlaubt am Tisch zu bedienen. Für sie zählt vor allem eines – dazugehören und gemeinsam den Alltag erleben. Rein optisch könnte Cherry ein Bordercollie-Mix sein. Als junger Hund mit Hütehund-Anteilen bringt Cherry deshalb nicht nur ein kluges Köpfchen, sondern auch Freude am Lernen mit. Sie ist aufmerksam, neugierig und offen für Neues. Entsprechend wünscht sie sich Menschen, die Freude daran haben, sie liebevoll und konsequent zu fördern und zu begleiten. Hundeerfahrung wäre von Vorteil, um ihr die nötige Sicherheit und Struktur zu geben, denn Hütehunde können auch territorial sein und eigenständige Entscheidungen treffen. Der Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule würde ihr sicherlich großen Spaß machen und sie in ihrer Entwicklung weiter stärken. An der Leinenführigkeit wird bereits gearbeitet. Da Cherry sich nun am Übergang vom Welpen zum Junghund befindet, steht als nächster Entwicklungsschritt die Pubertät an. In dieser Phase kann es sein, dass bereits Gelerntes noch einmal hinterfragt wird, die Aufmerksamkeit nachlässt oder neue Unsicherheiten auftreten. Das ist ganz normal und gehört zur Entwicklung dazu. Mit Geduld, klarer, liebevoller Führung und einer guten Portion Humor lässt sich diese Zeit jedoch wunderbar gemeinsam meistern. Und stärkt die Bindung zwischen Mensch und Hund nachhaltig. Fremden begegnet die freundliche Hündin offen und entspannt. Insgesamt zeigt sich Cherry als ausgeglichene, altersentsprechend agile junge Begleiterin, die sowohl aktiv sein kann als auch zur Ruhe findet. Für diese besondere Fellnase wünschen wir uns ein Zuhause, in dem sie nicht nur gefördert, sondern vor allem geliebt wird – ein Ort, an dem sie weiter wachsen darf und als vollwertiges Familienmitglied ankommen kann. Aufgrund ihres jungen Alters ist Cherry noch nicht kastriert. Sie ist jedoch gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und hat selbstverständlich ihren EU-Heimtierausweis mit dabei.
