A secure, private garden is a must so he can safely enjoy some outdoor fun and exploration. He’s a big fan of playing with a ball and will happily play fetch all day if given the opportunity. Chief walks really nicely on lead and rarely pulls and does know some basic cues. He wears his muzzle for walks and is a really good boy putting this on and taking it off. He’s very food-motivated and will happily show off a perfect sit in exchange for a treat. Chief will need to be the only pet in his new home, but he could enjoy polite social interactions with other dogs while out on walks. This lovely boy will require his new family to be able to visit the centre for multiple meets. Meet Chief – a strikingly handsome lurcher on the lookout for his forever home. Life in the kennels has been a bit daunting for him, but he's slowly gaining confidence and forming bonds with his favourite carers. Chief’s happiest moments include zooming around the play run and enjoying some well-earned neck scratches. He's previously lived in a home where he was mostly housetrained and content being left alone for a few hours once settled. Due to his sensitive and sometimes nervous nature, Chief would do best in a calm adult only home with a family that understand he may need a little space and time to settle in.
