Meet Black Mania – our senior doggie senior. Czarna Mańka is an older female dog who has been with us at our shelter for years. Although we've tried socializing her many times, she still can't trust humans – she doesn't react aggressively; she just retreats into her safe world. She has never known life outside of the animal shelter, but we believe there is someone out there who can help her open up anew… Mania is calm, gentle, and gets along well with other dogs. She doesn't know how to walk on a leash, so we're looking for a home with a yard where she can feel safe and slowly learn to live by the side of a good human. We're searching for a patient heart that will give her time and space. Someone who understands that loving an older, mistrustful dog is something special. It's the trust that must be earned, but once gained, it lasts forever. If you feel you're ready to give Black Mania what she needs – we invite you to our animal shelter.
