Adopter Daisy

Meet Daisy, our sweet and affectionate Husky girl. Daisy arrived at Battersea a stray so we have no history on her. She is a friendly girl, although can be a little shy when meeting new people. She warms up quickly and once bonded has shown to love attention and a fuss. This beautiful girl has a heart of gold and a lot of love to give. She will make a wonderful companion in any household lucky enough to have her. Daisy has shown herself to be a friendly girl with a little bit of a worried side. She can be a little worried of new people and handling if she doesn't know you, but once bonded does tend to relax and enjoys human company and some fuss! She is looking for owners that have owned a dog before and are willing to continue on with her basic training and provide her with all the physical and mental stimulation she requires, in order to set her up for success in the home. She will need quite an active home due to her exercise needs as a young husky. Daisy has shown to have some nice sociability around some dogs on site. She is typically friendly and can offer some play behaviours, but she has also shown on more than one occasion to growl and react towards other bouncy female dogs, preferring to control the interaction the way she wants to and not appreciating any bouncy play. Due to these reasons, should be the only dog in the home with her socialisation taking place in neutral spaces. New owners to be mindful of Daisy around other playful females and call her on if the other dog looks like it will be too much for her. We have no history on if Daisy has ever lived with or been exposed to cats, but due to the intolerance we have seen from Daisy around dogs, feel she is not suited to live with cats. Daisy has been a friendly girl with most people she has met, although does have a worried side. She can be worried of handling, but she does engage well with her handlers well when playing and running around. for this reason, we feel daisy can live with teens 13+ who can play a part in her daily training and maintenance. Daisy will need a private garden where she can work on training away from distractions, confidence building and have access to an area for toilet training.
