Update 11th October 25. Pussycat Lodge will be closing (temporarily) in a few weeks time, until we can relocate. We will not be able to take in any more ferals until we have our new rescue. However, if you are looking to offer a home to ferals, please still get in touch in case we know of any needing a home. Feral cats need homes as well! Homes are always needed in stables, smallholdings, garden centres, flower farms, vineyards, warehouses and farms etc for our feral residents. They operate best in pairs, a group of 2-4 works well. Feral cats will need to be kept in a secure enclosed shelter, e.g. a large, covered dog crate, in a stable/food barn/shed/cabin for the first four weeks so they can get used to their new location. If they're let free too soon, you will probably never see them again! They are to be supplied with a litter tray, water and fed twice daily as you would a domestic cat. They are excellent at keeping the vermin down, but still need a warm dry place to sleep and regular meals. All feral cats are neutered, microchipped (where possible), wormed, deflead, FIV tested and given a health check so, although the usual rehoming donation of £130 does not apply to feral cats, any donation (even some food) is always appreciated to help us continue our rescue work.
