Fox is a Shepherd lovers dream, she is cuddly, cute, playful, cheeky and super intelligent! But rest assured, despite all her wonderful qualities, Fox's breed type means that she needs to be stimulated and engaged in training, activities and enriched, she would love to be a running partner or even pick up a hobby like scent work or agility! Fox would be more suited to a quiet, more rural setting, as this is where she is currently and isn't used to the hustle and bustle of every day life of cars and chaos. Fox will need a family who are really going to commit to her, especially during her first few months where she will need time to settle into a new environment, get used to any time being left alone, which will need to be bult up slowly, as this will be new to her and generally adjusting to a whole new life, so please bear this in mind when taking on an active, young new dog and ensure you are committed to her, and in return, Fox could be your loyal new best friend and companion. This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog. Fox is a 7 month old Belgian Shepherd crossbreed, who, if we do say so ourselves, is absolutely wonderful, full of fun and mischief and did we mention beautiful too?! Given her breed and age, Fox will need an active new home where she can go on lots of adventures and keep busy, both mentally and physically. Fox gets on great with other dogs and could live with another dog in her new home, pending a successful meet between them. Any children in Fox's new home would need to be of secondary school age.
