Gas was found on Husárska Street in Košice. He arrived at our shelter emaciated, frightened, and neglected – he had fleas and ticks on him. At first, interacting with him wasn’t easy; he reacted with fear and uncertainty. However, with patience and daily care, his behavior has significantly improved. Now, he eagerly looks forward to walks – when he sees the leash, he bounces with excitement and through his barking, he shows that he is ready to go out. Gas loves movement, enjoys playing with other dogs, playing with toys, and even enjoys being groomed. He has no problems with playmates, as long as they are non-confrontational. Routine handling is without issues. However, during increased handling or stressful situations (like at the vet), he may become scared or react more sensitively, so in such situations, it’s necessary to approach him calmly and, if needed, use a muzzle. He has good hygiene habits during regular walks. His bottom is in good condition; he doesn’t damage anything. He is looking for an active home or individual who can provide him with enough movement and, at the same time, can set clear boundaries. Gas is a dog who needs guidance, routine, and time – ideally, he would benefit from visiting a training ground where he could train, socialize, and form a strong bond with his human. He is looking for a home in an apartment or a home with a yard. However, he could also adapt to living in a well-heated kennel – provided that he is not isolated and has regular contact with his people. Gas is a dog with potential – if you give him a chance, he will become a loyal, happy, and grateful buddy.

Gas sa našiel na ulici Husárska v Košiciach. Prišiel k nám vychudnutý, vystrašený a zanedbaný – mal na sebe blchy aj kliešte. Zo začiatku s ním nebola manipulácia jednoduchá, reagoval ustráchane a neisto, no s trpezlivosťou a každodennou starostlivosťou sa jeho správanie výrazne zlepšilo. Teraz sa už na prechádzky vyslovene teší – keď vidí vodítko, s nadšením poskakuje a štekotom dáva najavo, že je pripravený ísť von. Gas miluje pohyb, rád sa naháňa so psími kamarátmi, hrá sa s hračkami a veľmi si užíva aj hladkanie. So sučkami vychádza bez problémov, so samcami vychádza, ak sú nekonfliktní. Bežná manipulácia je s ním bezproblémová. Pri zvýšenej manipulácii alebo stresových situáciách (napr. u veterinára) môže zo strachu stuhnúť alebo reagovať citlivejšie, preto je v takej situácii potrebné pristupovať k nemu pokojne a v prípade potreby použiť náhubok. Má zvládnuté hygienické návyky pri pravidelnom venčení. Dnu sa správa slušne, nič neničí. Hľadá si aktívnejšiu rodinu alebo jednotlivca, ktorý mu dopraje dostatok pohybu a zároveň vie nastaviť jasné hranice. Gas je psík, ktorý potrebuje vedenie, rutinu a čas – ideálne by mu prospelo aj navštevovanie cvičiska, kde by mohol trénovať, socializovať sa a nadviazať pevné puto so svojím človekom. Domov si hľadá v byte alebo v dome s prístupom dnu. Zvládol by však aj bývanie v dobre zateplenej búde – s podmienkou, že nebude izolovaný a bude v pravidelnom kontakte so svojimi ľuďmi. Gas je psík s potenciálom – ak mu dáte šancu, stane sa z neho oddaný, veselý a vďačný parťák.
