Harley is a lovely 2 year old black cane corso available for adoption at Pawprints Dog Rescue in the Midlands. Harley is a sweet boy who is searching for a big cozy sofa and understanding family to call his own. He was found as a stray, so we don’t have any history on this boy, sadly before he came into our care he at some point has had his ears cropped. This is an awful and unnecessary procedure and something no dog should endure. Despite going through this Harley is a loving and affectionate boy whose favourite thing is going for walks with other dogs and has made friends with large and small breeds and enjoys soaking up the attention from humans. Although Harley enjoys walking with other dogs and has a range of friends he regularly goes for walks with, but he would like to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. His perfect family would be an adult only household who have experience with large breeds. He cannot live with cats or small furries. Harley does get worried by loud noises, especially from traffic such as lorries and buses so would like to live somewhere where he can access quieter walks and build confidence in his own time. He doesn’t always want to jump in the car but is improving with this, for this reason we would be looking for a home with his own secure garden. Harley is ready to have a family to give all his love to and to start getting out into the world building his confidence on each adventure! Harley will need a family who is able to build up his time alone gradually, he may do best with his own area in the home that is dog proofed as he has shown some counter surfing behaviours when being assessed in “home like” office.
