Mød Nelly Nelly er en sød, trefarvet beagle-pige på fire år, der vejer ca. 13 kg. Hun er en venlig, kærlig og social pige, der godt kan lide at være omkring mennesker og andre hunde. Hun elsker sine gåture, lege og at være sammen med sin familie. Træning og opførsel Nelly er trænet i at gå i snor og har et sele. Hun kan nogle gange trække i snoren, når hun er ophidset eller ivrig efter at komme ud på en gåtur. Hun har ikke været til formelle træningskurser, men går i hundepasning, hvor hun også får lidt træning. Hun er renlig, selvom der af og til er uheld om natten. Nelly behøver ikke at være i en transportkasse. Nelly kan generelt være alene. Hun har en fast rutine: Når hendes ejere afspiller et bestemt Alexa-lyd, forstår hun, at det er tid til at gå i seng, mens de forlader huset. Hun plejer at lægge sig på sin seng, selvom hun af og til kan blive ængstelig, hylende eller tygge på genstande. Hun er vant til at rejse i bil og tager regelmæssigt 30 minutters ture til og fra hundepasning to gange om ugen. Nelly har gået i snor i det lukkede miljø i hundepasning og et sikkert legeområde. Hun har altid klaret sig fint i haven og er ikke stukket af fra den, selvom hun engang kom ud gennem indgangen til huset, da hun var yngre. Andre hunde Nelly er meget social med andre hunde og elsker at lege. Hun går i hundepasning, hvor hun nyder at interagere med sine hundevenner. Når hun møder hunde i snor, kan hun stoppe op og vente på at lege, eller bare gå forbi og snuse. Hendes ejere rapporterer ingen aggression over for andre hunde. Nelly kan potentielt leve med en anden venlig, kompatibel hund, forudsat at introduktionerne lykkes. Katter og andre dyr Nelly er ikke egnet til et hjem med katte. Hun hader dem meget og vil stoppe op og stirre, når hun ser en på en gåtur. Hendes ejere siger, at hun normalt ikke jager, angriber eller nærmer sig katten, men vil forblive fokuseret på den, indtil den bevæger sig væk. Hun hader også ræve og kan gø efter får og heste, hvis de er i nærheden. Føde og fodring Nelly er meget motiveret af mad og vil gerne spise næsten alt! Hun kan lokkes til at hoppe op for at nå mad på køkkenbordet eller spiseborde og vil spise mad, der er inden for rækkevidde, når hun er alene hjemme

Meet Nelly Nelly is a pretty, tri-coloured Beagle girl, aged four, weighing approximately 13kg. She is a friendly, affectionate and sociable girl who enjoys being around people and other dogs. She loves her walks, playing games and spending time with her family. Training and Behaviour Nelly is lead trained and wears a harness. She can sometimes pull when she is excited or eager to get out for a walk. She has not attended formal training classes but goes to doggy daycare, where she also receives some training. She is housetrained, although there have been occasional overnight accidents. Nelly has not needed to be crate trained. Nelly can generally be left alone. She has an established routine: when her owners play a particular Alexa sound, she understands that it is time to go to her bed while they leave the house. She usually settles on her bed, although on rare occasions she may become anxious, howl or chew objects. She is used to travelling by car, making regular 30-minute journeys to and from doggy day care twice a week. Nelly has been off lead in the enclosed environment of doggy daycare and a secure playing field. She has always been fine in the garden and has not escaped from it, although she did once get out through the front of the house when she was younger. Other Dogs Nelly is very sociable with other dogs and loves to play. She attends doggy daycare, where she enjoys interacting with her canine friends. When approaching dogs on lead, she may stop and wait to play, or simply walk past and have a sniff. Her owners report no aggression towards other dogs. Nelly could potentially live with another friendly, compatible dog, subject to successful introductions. Cats and Other Animals Nelly is not suitable for a home with cats. She strongly dislikes them and will stop and stare when she sees one out on a walk. Her owners say she does not usually chase, attack or approach the cat, but will remain focused on it until it moves away. She also dislikes foxes and may bark at sheep and horses if they are nearby. Food and Feeding Nelly is very food motivated and will happily eat almost anything! She can be tempted to jump up to reach food on kitchen worktops or dining tables, and will eat food left within reach when home alone. She may sit around the dining table while the family are eating, but will go to her bed when asked Nelly is particularly fond of food-based enrichment and interactive treat games. Home Life and Things Nelly Enjoys Nelly sleeps on her own bed, which is on a chair in the living room, although she does enjoy sleeping on her owners’ bed if allowed. She loves tennis balls, cuddly toys and interactive games that involve finding or working for treats. She also enjoys zoomies, long walks, trips to the beach and having space to run around in a good-sized garden. Above all, Nelly loves being with her people. She enjoys cuddles, relaxing on the sofa, following her owners around the house and watching the world go by through the windows. She is also partial to the occasional puppuccino! She will tolerate having a bath at home, although it is not something she particularly enjoys.
