In 2020, he developed a benign tumor on his front right leg, which was removed that same year. The biopsy showed a collagenous skin tag. Unfortunately, over the years the tumor reappeared and, due to its location and size, it could not be surgically removed. Pepe began to suffer, and eventually, at the beginning of 2025, his leg had to be amputated. He is now a tripod dog and over the past year has had to adjust to his new reality. Today, however, Pepe runs again and smiles! In addition, he has a heart murmur, which we monitor every six months with an ultrasound performed in Syros, as this service is not available on our island.
