A ROBINA was abandoned near our shelter in August 2024, tied to a pole right in front of the entrance. She was quickly adopted, but after a few months was returned, apparently not getting along with the resident dogs. At the shelter, the ROBINA always showed herself to be very social and friendly with other dogs. However, we know that family dynamics can change—dogs compete for their owners' attention and try to establish territory. Currently, back at the shelter, she shares space with several other dogs and there are no conflicts. The ROBINA is extremely gentle with people and loves affection. She lies on her back asking for belly rubs and loves having her belly rubbed. She does very well on a leash and is, overall, a happy, friendly, and very affectionate dog. She had a problem with her left hind leg that required surgery, as the knee would frequently dislocate and cause her to limp. The surgery went very well, and she has a metal plate that keeps her knee stable. This does not affect her at all: she does not feel discomfort and walks and runs normally, using her left hind leg perfectly. The ROBINA will be delivered vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped.

A Robina foi abandonada perto do nosso abrigo em agosto de 2024, amarrada a um poste mesmo em frente ao portão. Foi rapidamente adotada, mas passados alguns meses acabou por ser devolvida, aparentemente por não se entender com os cães residentes. No abrigo, a Robina sempre se mostrou muito sociável e amigável com outros cães. No entanto, sabemos que num ambiente familiar as dinâmicas mudam — os cães competem pela atenção dos tutores e tentam marcar território. Neste momento, já de volta ao abrigo, partilha um espaço com vários cães e não há qualquer conflito. A Robina é extremamente dócil com pessoas e adora mimos. Deita-se de barriga para cima a pedir festinhas e adora que lhe façam festas na barriga. Anda muito bem à trela e é, no geral, uma cadela feliz, simpática e muito afetuosa. Teve um problema no joelho traseiro esquerdo que exigiu cirurgia, pois o joelho deslocava-se com frequência e causava-lhe claudicação. A cirurgia correu muito bem e a Robina ficou com uma placa metálica que mantém o joelho estável. Isto não a afeta em nada: não sente desconforto, e caminha e corre normalmente, usando perfeitamente a pata traseira esquerda. A Robina será entregue vacinada, desparasitada, esterilizada e com microchip.
