Adopter Rufus
Mixed Breed Cat · Mand · Voksen · 5 år
Personality:Rufus is a sociable and loving boy. He enjoys company and someone to play with. He has lots of energy so he is looking for someone who can keep him mentally stimulated. Behaviour:Rufus chats away when socialisers approach his unit. He loves being able to explore out of the cattery floor. He checks in for some fuss and nudges into hands for more. He likes to sit on laps on his own terms, often hopping on and off between play. He will chase around after stick toys then roll around the floor. He is a fun character who is looking forward to having more space in a home. Housing:Rufus will need a home with outside access to a garden. He cannot be homed in Southampton. Children/pets:Rufus cannot live with other cats or dogs due to showing signs of stress around them. He could live with an older secondary school child who will respect his boundaries. Vet history:Rufus is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 12/06/26 – 18/06/26 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Rufus had a previous fracture to his right hind leg and a previous bone infection to his left hind leg. He is currently not on any treatment for this. It is likely adopters will notice a slight limp at times and will need to monitor this as he gets older. It may be that long term he is prone to arthritis in his hind legs. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
