Ottawa Tigrée Blanche / Cali the white and ginger and Mya the black and white Their favorite for Ottawa when they saw her on the internet: After having adopted MYA (an adult cat adopted in May 2016) and CALI (a kitten adopted in December of the same year)... In the spring of 2019, we were looking as usual, just out of curiosity, at the photos on Facebook of new possible adoptions with the Drancy Cat School, saying... hoping they find a family! When... We saw the photo of Ottawa with her beautiful green eyes, we looked at her profile and there... Total lightning strike!! It was May 2019. In her description she was described as a cat who loved to cuddle. She had a beautiful coat color and eyes, completely different from Mya and Cali. So we cracked... And we were tempted to make a new adoption!! I called Laurence (I have the number of the president of the association yes ... lol ) who said YES immediately and we could go pick her up the following weekend in her foster family because Laurence trusts us (Yes, we know you ... it's easier.) Sunday arrives and we go to meet her... She immediately sat on Yoann's (the male of the family ... ;o)) lap for a big cuddle.... Hmmm... Promising ... ;o) Adoption validated, departure planned ... We put her in the cage and headed home, to discover the cat friends. Her arrival at home: MYA the first to arrive in the family ... As soon as we arrived at the apartment, we placed the cage in the hallway without opening it, so that MYA and CALI could get to know the new kitten of the house from a distance, by scent etc... (Good initiative ...) CALI kept coughing and sniffing the cage and MYA watched from afar, also sniffing the scent, at a reasonable distance. OTTAWA was sad, waiting patiently in her cage, because we didn't know how she would react with her companions. As soon as we opened the door, she slipped into the kitchen which was right next door. I closed the kitchen door to be alone with her and show her the litter box and where she could eat. Then we slowly opened each room for a tour. CALI was still coughing and watching her (normal!!!), MYA was still watching from afar and from above (more discreet the kitten). The first night OTTAWA slept between us in the bed, hidden under the sheets, because whenever MYA saw her, she growled... and CALI coughed. But since we hid her in the bed, OTTAWA gave us lots of cuddles and purred very loudly. The three kittens getting to know each other: Since then, CALI and OTTAWA have learned to know each other and now play together chasing each other or playing fight. MYA still has trouble with her because Ottawa wants to play while MYA doesn't really want to most of the time. What she makes her understand by coughing at her and growling but she tolerates her better and better... There is progress.... We moved in June 2019 to have a bigger apartment and more space for 3 cats as well as a completely equipped balcony for them. (TOP THE BALCONY > TO DISCOVER ON THE MINETTES PAGE..) MYA and OTTAWA can now be on the balcony together and nearby. Without fear or rejection. CALI found a great playmate. MYA has become more affectionate and clingy with us. OTTAWA is very greedy, talkative and gives lots of cuddles. From what we know about her and her story (and the association too...) OTTAWA was abandoned because she was pregnant, as too often. Unfortunately. Humans can be so cruel! Quand on vous dit que les adoptions à plusieurs c’est ce qu’il y a de meilleur. .. Ottawa Tigrée Blanche / Cali la blanche et rousse et Mya la Noire et Blanche Leur coup de coeur pour Ottawa en la voyant sur Internet : Après avoir adopté MYA (chat adoptée adulte en Mai 2016) et CALI (adoptée chaton en décembre de la même année)… Au printemps 2019 nous regardions comme à notre habitude, juste par curiosité, les photos sur Facebook des nouvelles adoptions possibles avec l’école du chat de Drancy en nous disant… pourvu qu’ils trouvent une famille ! Quand… Nous sommes tombés sur la photo d’Ottawa avec ses magnifiques yeux verts, nous avons regardé son profil et là… Coup de foudre total !! C’était en Mai 2019. Dans sa description elle était décrite comme une chatte qui aimait faire des câlins. Elle avait une couleur de pelage et des yeux magnifiques, complètement différents de Mya et Cali. Du coup on a craqué... Et nous nous sommes laissés tenter par une nouvelle adoption !! J’appelle Laurence (j’ai le numéro de la présidente de l’association oui … lol ) qui me dit OUI direct et qu’on peut aller la chercher dès le week-end suivant dans sa famille d’accueil car Laurence nous fait confiance (Bah oui on vous connait … c’est plus simple .) Le dimanche arrive et nous allons faire sa rencontre… Elle s’est directement mise sur les genoux de Yoann (le Mâle de la famille … ;o)) Pour un gros câlin…. Hummm… Prometteur … ;o) Adoption validée, embarquement programmé … Nous l’avons mise dans la cage et direction Maison, pour découvrir les copines chats. Son arrivée à la maison : MYA la première arrivée dans la famille … À peine arrivés à l’appart nous avons déposé la cage dans le vestibule sans l’ouvrir, pour que MYA et CALI fassent connaissance avec la nouvelle minette de la maison déjà à distance, sur l’odeur etc… (Bonne initiative …) CALI n’arrêtait pas de cracher et sentir la cage et MYA l’observait de loin en humant aussi l’odeur, à distance raisonnable.OTTAWA toute penaude attendait patiemment dans sa cage, car nous ne savions pas comment elle allait réagir avec ses congénères. Dès qu’on a ouvert la porte, elle s’est faufilée dans la cuisine qui était juste à côté. J’ai fermé la porte de la cuisine pour être tranquille avec elle et lui faire voir la litière et où elle pourrait manger. Puis on a petit à petit ouvert chaque pièce pour visiter. CALI était toujours à cracher et la surveiller (normal !!!) , MYA observait toujours de loin et en hauteur (plus discrète la minette) . La première nuit OTTAWA a dormi entre nous dans le lit, cachée sous les draps, car dès que MYA la voyait elle grognait… et CALI crachait du coup. Mais comme on la cachait dans le lit, OTTAWA nous faisait pleins de câlins et ronronnait très fort. Les 3 minettes font connaissance : Depuis CALI et OTTAWA ont appris à se connaître et jouent désormais ensemble à se courir après ou à jouer à la bagarre. MYA a toujours du mal avec elle car Ottawa veut jouer alors que MYA n’en a pas vraiment envie le plus souvent. Ce qu’elle lui fait comprendre en lui crachant dessus et grondant mais elle la tolère de mieux en mieux… Il y a du progrès …. Nous avons déménagé en juin 2019 pour avoir un appartement plus grand et plus d’espace pour 3 chats ainsi qu’un balcon complètement aménagé pour elles. (TOP LE BALCON > A DÉCOUVRIR SUR LA PAGE DES MINETTES..) MYA et OTTAWA peuvent désormais être sur le balcon ensemble et à proximité. Sans crainte ni rejet. CALI a trouvé une super copine de jeu. MYA est devenue plus câline et pot de colle avec nous. OTTAWA est très gourmande, bavarde et fait pleins de câlins.De ce que nous savons d’elle et de son histoire (et l’association aussi …) OTTAWA a été abandonnée parce que gestante, comme trop souvent. Hélas. Les bipèdes peuvent être tellement cruels ! Virginie et YoannComposition de minettes chouchoutées adoptées avec notre association : Mot de l’association Nous adorons cette famille qui aime vraiment les animaux et les chats ;o) en particulier. Ils nous sont fidèles depuis le début et nous soutiennent et nous aident, de multiples façons.
