Tyra joined us around 4 months ago, and what a journey it has been.She is a beautiful 5-year-old female Pitbull who came to us from a family home with young children. Tyra loved her family so much that she became overly protective — and somewhere along the way, she learned that not everyone could be trusted.Tyra is selective with who she lets into her circle, but those who take the time to understand her get to see the loyal, loving girl underneath.She has been lucky enough to spend time in a foster home with someone who truly understands the breed, working with her every single day to break down the barriers that have built up over time. The progress she has made has been incredible… but now she needs a permanent home where that journey can continue.Tyra needs: A secure garden, finca or land where she can enjoy space. Regular exercise and stimulation — she is not a couch potato. A home without young children. Someone calm, patient and consistent who will continue her trainingShe has come such a long way since arriving at Live PAWS, but refuge life is not where Tyra belongs.
