A few weeks ago, six rats—three females and three males—left the laboratory. Goodbye Normandy, hello Brittany! The journey went off without a hitch, despite the scorching heatwave that was raging at the time. Here’s a lovely testimonial from their adopter, Brigitte, a veterinarian at GRAAL, who traveled all the way to pick them up and ended up adopting three of them: “Six brave little Norman rats, lucky enough to enjoy a retirement after life in the lab, embarked on an impressive adventure. They covered kilometers in royally cool conditions while the world around them suffocated under the heatwave... They saw Mont Saint-Michel, crossed the invisible boundary between Normandy and Brittany, and at that very moment traded their old lives in white lab coats for a new life as free Breton rats! The three ladies have made their home near the pink granite coast—surely it was meant to be. The three little guys continued their adventure all the way to the end of the earth, reaching Finistère. The new lives of these free Breton rats can now begin! 🐁🥰❤️”
