Ważka dreams of one thing only—her own home for the final, most peaceful stage of her life. A place where she can feel safe, finally relax after years of uncertainty, and spend her canine retirement by the side of a human who’ll accept her just as she is. Ważka is a special senior dog of the German Shepherd breed, about 11 years old and weighing 28 kg. She arrived at the shelter as a very frightened and distrustful lady dog. Contact with humans triggered great anxiety in her, and her new surroundings were an enormous challenge. Fortunately, over time she began to make progress, and today she’s completely different from the day she first came to the shelter. Now, Ważka goes for regular walks and is getting better and better at enjoying everyday interactions with people. Although she remains cautious and still needs time to trust, she can already take pleasure in calm strolls and the company of familiar faces. Every small success is proof of how much work she’s put in and how hard she’s trying to find her place in the world around her. Ważka has a strong character and clearly marks her territory. She still needs an owner who can properly read her signals and provide her with a sense of security. Sometimes she reacts to people entering her space and might even grab at trouser legs, so we’re looking for a responsible home that will accept her unique personality and be ready to offer her wise, calm care. As befits a senior dog, Ważka no longer dreams of grand adventures. She tires more quickly and definitely values peace and quiet over intense activity. An ideal home for her would be one with a garden, where she could rest at her own pace, observe her surroundings, and enjoy a safe, peaceful retirement. We’re searching for owners who’ll understand her individuality and respect her boundaries. Ważka isn’t a dog for everyone, but the person who gives her a chance will gain a loyal companion with an extraordinary story and a truly unique character. The lady dog can live in a home that already has other dogs. After years of uncertainty, Ważka deserves her own little corner, a patient human, and a peaceful life by the side of someone who’ll accept her just as she is. Ważka marzy o jednym – o własnym domu na ostatni, najspokojniejszy etap swojego życia. O miejscu, w którym będzie mogła poczuć się bezpiecznie, odpocząć po latach niepewności i spędzić swoją psią emeryturę u boku człowieka, który zaakceptuje ją taką, jaka jest. Ważka to wyjątkowa seniorka w typie owczarka niemieckiego, która ma około 11 lat i waży 28 kg. Do schroniska trafiła jako bardzo wystraszona i nieufna sunia. Kontakt z człowiekiem budził w niej duży niepokój, a nowe otoczenie było dla niej ogromnym wyzwaniem. Na szczęście z czasem zaczęła robić postępy i dziś jest już zupełnie innym psem niż w dniu przyjazdu. Obecnie Ważka regularnie wychodzi na spacery i coraz lepiej odnajduje się w codziennym kontakcie z ludźmi. Choć nadal jest ostrożna i potrzebuje czasu, by zaufać, potrafi już czerpać przyjemność ze spokojnych przechadzek i obecności znanych jej osób. Każdy mały sukces jest dowodem na to, jak wiele pracy wykonała i jak bardzo stara się odnaleźć w otaczającym ją świecie. Ważka ma silny charakter i wyraźnie zaznacza swoje terytorium. Nadal potrzebuje opiekuna, który będzie potrafił właściwie odczytywać jej sygnały i zapewni jej poczucie bezpieczeństwa.
