American Staffordshire Terrie (AmStaff) Caucasian Shepherd Dog Tips for future or current owners: if you don't have a minimum of experience breeding a dog, don't get one of a potentially aggressive breed; the owner must be a balanced, calm person with a strong enough character to impose himself on the dog, who will have to consider him as the “pack leader”; a dog of this breed is energetic, needs a lot of movement, attention and training. You should consider whether you are prepared to allocate sufficient time to it; from an early age, the dog will need to be socialised with both people and other animals; whatever aggressive tendencies they show, they should be firmly restrained. This does not mean that we will in turn be aggressive towards the dog; discipline training is mandatory, starting at 3-4 months, at the latest at 6-7 months; training to stimulate aggression, attack training, is absolutely forbidden; the dog should not be left unattended, especially if there are other dogs around.
