COUNT BALBIN (B52) — arrived at our shelter as a stray cat from Chałubińskiego Street. He came in for medical treatment, and during diagnostics it was discovered that he is suffering from feline leukemia virus (FeLV). Despite his difficult past and experiences living on the streets, he is a very loving and gentle cat. In his new environment, he has adjusted so well that he uses the litter box and clearly shows how much he needs peace, security, and human care. Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is a contagious disease that affects only cats and poses no threat to humans or other animal species. Cats testing positive for FeLV may have reduced immunity and be more susceptible to infections; therefore, they require appropriate care, good living conditions, and regular health check-ups. However, this does not mean they cannot enjoy a long and happy life. With proper care, many cats with FeLV can remain in good health for years. Count Balbin can live as an only cat or in a home with other cats infected with FeLV. Right now, he most urgently needs a calm, peaceful place and a person who will show him that after his tough life on the streets, he can still experience safety and a real home. ul. Koty z dodatnim wynikiem mogą mieć obniżoną odporność i być bardziej podatne na infekcje, dlatego wymagają odpowiedniej opieki, dobrych warunków życia oraz regularnej kontroli zdrowia. Nie oznacza to jednak, że nie mogą cieszyć się długim i szczęśliwym życiem. Przy właściwej trosce wiele kotów z FeLV funkcjonuje przez lata w dobrej kondycji. Hrabia Balbin może zamieszkać jako koci jedynak lub w domu z innymi kotami zakażonymi FeLV. Najbardziej potrzebuje teraz spokojnego miejsca i człowieka, który pokaże mu, że po trudnym życiu na ulicy może jeszcze zaznać bezpieczeństwa i prawdziwego domu. ul.
