Adoptoi Barney

Barney has built really sweet relationships with some of the staff at the rehoming centre and we are excited to see him build a bond with his new family. Barney's adopters will be fully supported through the adoption and settling in process by our Welfare team who will guide them through the training and behaviour plans that have been put in place to help him transition into his new home. Please call us to find out more about Barney! Meet Barney - our 10-Month-Old Poodle X Schnauzer! Barney is a sensitive young lad who has had a lot of change during his first year of life. He is looking for experienced adopters who will see past his adorable face (as gorgeous as it is!) and understand the big feelings he holds in his little body. He is looking for adopters who can keep up with his energy levels and give him the time and attention he needs, carrying on the training that we have started at the centre. Barney can be nervous of meeting new people but once he has bonded with someone he tends to be their shadow! He would like his family to spend time at home with him as he struggles being left alone, especially when his trusted people leave him. Barney can get overwhelmed when he isn't sure what is happening next so will need his new family to provide him with stability, structure and reassurance. Barney enjoys spending time with other dogs but can lack manners with them and will need any interactions with his doggie friends to be well managed - he will need to be the only pet in the home due to this. Barney is a wonderful and sweet dog with the people he knows best and we think that with the right input he will thrive in a new home! Barney loves nothing more than playing with his toys, running around his garden (with a ball or squeaky toy in his mouth!) and spending time with his favourite people.
