It would be beneficial for him to work on disengagement training around them, at a distance he can cope with. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Cruze would be best suited to older, calm, children aged 13 years + who can give him space when needed. What type of environment would suit me? It is important for Cruze to have a secure, safe garden where he can play, train and relax. About Cruze Cruze is a worried soul who needs a little time and patience to build trust. New people and unfamiliar situations can feel overwhelming, so he’ll need a calm, understanding home that’s happy to let him settle at his own pace. He’ll also need support and careful management around other dogs while he learns to feel more comfortable. Access to a quiet walking routes will be important, giving him the chance to enjoy his walks without too much pressure or too many busy distractions. With the right guidance, consistency and reassurance, Cruze can make wonderful progress.
