Ellie is one of five FeLV positive cats who we offered a place with us in the shelter. In that area, where the cats were caught, it was found that a large part of them are FeLV positive. Unfortunately, there are few facilities that have space for these cats, so we offered these five a refuge with us. Joey is currently shy towards people, but he likes other cats, and is looking for a home with owners who do not have other cats or have other FeLV positive animals. Also, they must be kept indoors so they cannot get infected by other cats (FeLV weakens the immune system) and so they cannot infect other cats with FeLV.

Ellie je jedna z pěti FeLV pozitivních koček, kterým jsme nabídli místo u nás v útulku. V tamní lokalitě koček, co se odchytávala, se zjistilo, že velká část z nich jsou FeLV pozitivní. Bohužel zařízení, která pro tyhle kočky mají prostory, je málo, tak jsme těmto pěti u nás nabídli azyl. Joey je zatím k lidem plachý, ale ostatní kočky má rád, hledá domov u majitelů, kteří nemají další kočky nebo mají další FeLV pozitivní zvířata. Také musí být jen vevnitř, aby se nemohla nakazit od jiných koček (FeLV oslabuje imunitu) a ostatní kočky nenakazila FeLV.
