Kun nuori Freddie tuli ensin hoitoomme, hän oli ihan huolissaan oleva poika. Nyt kun hän on ollut meidän kanssamme hetken, hän tietää että hän voi luottaa meihin ja on muuttunut todella kylmäkuntoiseksi omien suosikkipoikien kanssa. Hänellä oli hiljattain kirurginen toimenpide hänen silmäluukkujensa nostamiseksi, ja voimme välittömästi huomata eroa siinä, kun hän nyt näkee oikein. Freddie on paljon itsevarmempi nyt ja ei ole niin helposti järkyttynyt. Hän rakastaa kävelyjään ja hänellä on nyt mahdollisuus kävellä ilman kourua, missä hän saa "zoomies"-tunteita. Fred on edelleen hieman epävarma uusista paikoista ja ihmisistä, mutta hän sopeutuu paljon helpommin kuin ennen, mutta adoptioon tulevat tarvitsevat odottaa hänen tahdillaan, kun hän sopeutuu uuteen elämäänsä. Tiedämme, että hän on ollut varovainen äänekkäistä äänistä aiemmassa kotinsa, joten hän hyötyy melko hiljaisesta ympäristöstä. When young Freddie first came into our care, he was such a worried boy. Now he’s been with us a little while he knows he can trust us and has become a real cuddle bug with his favourite people. He has recently had a surgical procedure to lift his eyelids, and we can instantly notice the difference in him now that he can see properly. Freddie is much more confident now, and less easily spooked. He loves his walks and can now have off lead time too, where he gets the zoomies. Fred is still a little unsure of new places and people, but he adjusts much more readily than he used to, but his adopters will need to go at his pace whilst he settles into his new life. We know he’s been wary of loud noises in his previous home, so he’d benefit from a fairly quiet environment. Freddie has been happy to approach other dogs, but when he gets to them, he doesn’t seem to know what to do! We know he has lived with other dogs before and he seems happy to walk in a small group, he’s just not so sure about face-to-face interactions right now. We haven’t seen Freddie show much interest in toys, but this may be something else that comes in time as his confidence grows. Freddie is looking for a home where any children are over 16 and he can be the only dog. He is house trained and can be left for a couple of hours without worry. He is likely to need a few visits paying to him before he goes home.
