Gladys was found lost by the Municipal Police, who informed us as we have the animal pickup contract in the municipality; no one has claimed her. She is 3 years old. She is a shy little dog, very calm, but quite afraid. People and strangers generate a lot of insecurity for her, and her first reaction is to try to hide in her small animal shelter. She is very sensitive to her surroundings. She doesn’t do anything, ever; she simply tries to become invisible so that no one hurts her. Although at first it takes her a while to approach, with food and patience she is advancing little by little. She is a very good and sweet little dog, who right now is dormant and seems not to know what is expected of her. She lets herself be handled well, always with gentleness to not overwhelm her, and she is starting to learn to walk on a leash. An environment as noisy and hostile as the animal shelter does not allow her to feel safe to explore and let loose. Gladys needs time, stability, and a family that respects her pace. We are sure that, with love and trust, she will continue to evolve and show the wonderful little dog that she is. She has already been spayed. Leishmania analysis is questionable, and the analysis will be repeated in a couple of months. 4 Idexx test (Ehrlichia, Heartworm, Anaplasma, and borrelia) negative.

Gladys fue encontrada perdida por la Policía Municipal, que nos avisó ya que tenemos el contrato de recogida de animales en el municipio; nadie la ha reclamado. Tiene 3 años. Es una perrita tímida, muy tranquila, pero con bastante miedo. Las personas y los desconocidos le generan mucha inseguridad y su primera reacción es intentar esconderse en su pequeño refugio. Es muy sensible con el entorno. No hace nada, jamás; simplemente intenta hacerse invisible para que nadie le haga daño. Aunque al principio le cuesta acercarse, con comida y paciencia va avanzando poco a poco. Es una perrita muy buena y dulce, que ahora mismo está apagada y parece no saber qué se espera de ella. Se deja manipular bien, siempre con suavidad para no agobiarla, y está empezando a aprender a llevar la correa. Un ambiente tan ruidoso y hostil como el refugio no le permite sentirse segura para explorar y soltarse. Gladys necesita tiempo, estabilidad y una familia que respete su ritmo. Estamos seguros de que, con cariño y confianza, seguirá evolucionando y mostrará la maravillosa perrita que es. Ya está castrada.
