The GRINGO was found on the street, very scared of people, and it took quite some time to catch him. When he arrived at the our shelter, he was completely terrified... but at the same time, he showed curiosity—and it was this curiosity that eventually won out. Slowly, he began to venture out of his enclosure, interested in understanding what was happening around him. Today, he fully trusts his handler: he comes when called, lets himself be petted, accepts the leash, and wags his tail when he receives attention. However, he still has a great deal of fear of strangers. He can even show his teeth when scared. But the fact that he trusts someone gives us the certainty that, in an adoptive family, he would also form bonds and feel secure. The GRINGO handles the leash very well, which indicates that he has had previous contact with people and some basic training... although we will never know what really happened to him. He is very social with other dogs and loves playing with his shelter companions. He will be delivered vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, and microchipped.

O Gringo foi encontrado na rua, muito assustado com as pessoas, e foi preciso bastante tempo para conseguir apanhá-lo. Quando chegou ao abrigo, estava completamente aterrorizado... mas, ao mesmo tempo, mostrava-se curioso — e foi essa curiosidade que acabou por vencer. Aos poucos, começou a sair do parque, interessado em perceber o que se passava à sua volta. Hoje, confia plenamente no seu tratador: vem quando é chamado, deixa-se acariciar, aceita a trela e abana a cauda quando recebe atenção. No entanto, continua com muito receio de desconhecidos. Chega a mostrar os dentes quando tem medo. Mas o facto de já confiar em alguém dá-nos a certeza de que, numa família adotiva, acabaria também por criar laços e sentir-se seguro. O Gringo anda muito bem à trela, o que indica que já teve contacto com pessoas e alguma educação básica anteriormente... embora nunca venhamos a saber o que realmente lhe aconteceu. É muito sociável com outros cães e adora brincar com os seus companheiros de abrigo. Será entregue vacinado, desparasitado, esterilizado e com microchip.
