Esittelyssä ihana Kye, 4-vuotias saksanpaimenkoiran tyttö, joka on nyt valmis löytämään kokeneen paimenkoiran kanssa eläneen kodin. Kye tuli luoksemme helmikuussa 2024, kun hänet oli hylätty tien varteen lähellä kennelimme. Luonnollisesti hän ei halunnut lähteä paikalta, johon hänet oli jätetty, ja valitettavasti hän odotti, että omistajat palaisivat. Niin ei kuitenkaan koskaan tapahtunut. Meitä pyydettiin auttamaan hänen saamisessaan turvaan, ja onneksi pienellä ajalla, kärsivällisyydellä ja painostamatta häntä onnistuimme kiinnittämään hänelle hihnan ja turvaamaan hänet pakettiautoon. Kye tuli hyvin nopeasti kiintyneeksi Lisaan. Paimenkoiran omistajana Lisa oli varma otteestaan, ja paimenkoirana Kye tunnisti sen. Hän oli kuitenkin ymmärrettävästi ärtynyt ja hämmentynyt kaikkia muita ihmisiä ja kaikkea muuta kohtaan. Nykyään Kye rakastaa ihmisiä. Hän on päivä päivältä hellempi ja leikkisämpi. Koko kennelin henkilökunta saa nyt leikkikumarruksia, hyppyjä ja halauksia ja suukkoja. Hän ei enää välitä vieraista, jotka otetaan pihalle, mutta kuten luonnollista, hän haukkuu edelleen ilmoittamattomille vierailijoille, jotka tulevat portille. Kye on todella ihmisrakas koira. Hän ei pidä muista koirista, minkä vuoksi hänen täytyy olla kotona ainoa lemmikki. Kun hän ensimmäisen kerran tuli luoksemme, hän hyökkäili ja haukkui muita koiria lenkeillä, mutta nyt hän voi kulkea lähellä niitä ja valitsee olla välittämättä niistä ja keskittyy ulkoiluttajaansa. Hänestä on tulossa ilo ulkoiluttaa. Kye tuli luoksemme painaen hieman alle 28 kg, ja hän on nyt palannut ihanteelliseen painoonsa. Olemme ruokkineet häntä Dechra-allergiaruoalla, ja se näyttää sopivan hänelle hyvin, vaikka se ei ole halpa. Ajan myötä kotona voidaan ehkä ottaa käyttöön järkevä kalaruokavalio. Kye todella tarvitsee ymmärtäväisen, kokeneen paimenkoiran kodin, jossa kaikki asukkaat ovat teini-ikäisiä tai vanhempia. Kodin, jossa joku on ideaalisti paikalla koko ajan tai suurimman osan ajasta, erityisesti alussa. Paimenkoirana hän haluaa olla omistajiensa lähellä, ja hänellä voi olla riski eroahdistukseen. Uskomme kuitenkin, että kun hän asettuu kotiin ja työskentelee yhdessä kanssamme, hän voi ajan myötä oppia jäämään yksin muutamaksi tunniksi. Hän ei sovi pienille, karvaisille tai kissoille. Kaiken kaikkiaan Kye on tyypillinen nuori paimenkoiraneiti: uskollinen, vahvatahtoinen, touhukas ja fiksu. Oikeissa käsissä tämä nuori tyttö on oikea rakastettava koira, kun häneen panostetaan. Kye on rokotettu, KC-rokotettu, saanut kirppu- ja madonlääkityksen, hänellä on mikrosiru, hänet on steriloitu ja hänen hampaansa on hoidettu. Kye on tällä hetkellä Stoke-on-Trentissä, ja kaikkien, jotka haluavat tarjota hänelle kodin, on oltava valmiita matkustamaan tapaamaan häntä kaikkien lähisukulaisten kanssa. Introducing the wonderful Kye a 4 year old German Shepherd girl who is now ready to find a shepherd experienced home. Kye joined us having been abandoned in a lay by close to our kennels back in February 2024. Naturally she was not for leaving the place she was left and was sadly waiting for them to return. They had no intention. We were called to assist to secure her and thankfully with a little time, patience and not pushing her we were able to leash her and contain her in the van. Kye naturally bonded with Lisa very quickly. As a Shepherd owner Lisa was confident in her handling and as a Shepherd Kye recognised that. She was however upset and confused understandably at everyone and everything else. Now Kye loves people. She is getting more and more affectionate and silly by the day. The whole kennels team are now play-bowed bounced on and smothered with hugs and kisses. She now ignores strangers welcomed onto the yard but will as is natural still bark at unannounced visitors coming to the gate. Kye is very much a people dog. She is not keen on other dogs and due to this will need to be the only pet in the home. When she first landed she would lunge and bark at other dogs out on walks but now she can walk close to them and chooses to ignore them and focus on her walker. She is turning into a pleasure to take out. Kye came in weighing just under 28kg and is now back up to perfect weight. We currently have her on Dechra hypoallergenic and this seems to really suit her albeit it isn’t a cheap purchase. With time in a home a sensible fish diet may be able to be introduced. Kye really does need an understanding experienced Shepherd home with everyone teenage and above. A home where ideally someone is around all or most of the time especially in the beginning. Being a Shepherd she is driven to want to be with her owners and could be a risk of separation anxiety but we feel sensibly settled working alongside ourselves she could learn to be left for a couple of hours in time. She is not small furry or cat safe. All in all Kye is a typical young Shepherd female, loyal, strong willed, busy and smart. In the right hands this young girl will be an absolute darling with some work. Kye is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, spayed and has received a dental. Kye is currently located in Stoke-on-Trent and anyone wishing to offer her a home must be willing to travel to meet her with all immediate members of the family.
