Lily May on tullut meihin karsijalta ja toivoo nyt löytävänsä omakseen erityisen lopullisen kodin. Kun hän ensin saapui, hän oli hyvin huolissaan pieni tyttö, joka tunsi itsensä melko ylittäneen uudet ympäristöt. Selkeästi hän ei ole saanut paljoa sosiaalista koulutusta ennen, joten hän tarvitsee paljon rakkautta ja hoitoa, kun hän sopeutuu uuteen elämäänsä. Lily May siirtyi väliaikaisesti adoptiovanhempaan, missä hän alkoi löytää jalat ja sopeutua kotielämään. Valitettavasti hän ei ollut yhteiskelpoinen yhden naapurin koiran kanssa adoptiovanhempien asunnossa, joten hänet joutui palauttamaan pelastuskeskukseen, missä hän sopeutui hyvin takaisin. Hän on osoittanut sen jälkeen, että hän voi olla vaatimaton, millä naisten koirilla hän haluaa jakaa tilansa, ja siksi hän etsii nyt kotia, jossa on mieskissa. Hän suosii miekkoiden yhteyttä. Hän asui väliaikaisesti kissan kanssa, joten hän voi mahdollisesti asettua koira-osaavaan kissaan. Lily May sopii parhaiten rauhalliseen ja hiljaiseen kotiin, jossa adoptioon osallistuvat ihmiset ovat kokemuksessa pelokkaista karsija-koirista ja auttavat häntä sopeutumaan omalla tahdillaan. Koska hän ei ole koskaan asunut kotona ennen, Lily May tarvitsee vielä kärsivällisiä ja ymmärtäviä adoptioon osallistuvia, jotka voivat pehmeästi esittelemään hänelle arjellisia tapoja. Hän tarvitsee tukea oppimaan kotipuhtauden opastamisesta, mutta hän oli jo alkanut tehdä tästä hyvin hyvin adoptiovanhempien asunnossa. Hän pysyy herkillä päivittäisille äänille ja liikkeille, mutta hän opettelee paremmin selviytymään pehmeällä varmistuksella ja tuella. Lily May siedää käsittelyä, ja tämä parantuu jatkossakin, kun hänen luottamuksensa kehittyy. Lily May on viisaana pikkutyttönä, joka tarvitsee vain kärsivällisyyttä, rakkautta ja turvallisuutta. Lily May has come to us from a breeder and is now hoping to find her own special forever home. When she first arrived, she was a very worried little girl who was feeling quite overwhelmed by her new surroundings. Its clear she hasn’t had much socialisation before, so she will need lots of love and TLC as she settles into her new life. Lily May did move briefly to a foster home, where she began to find her paws and settle into home life. Unfortunately she didn't get on with one of the female resident dogs in her foster home so she has had to come back to the rescue where she has settled back in well. She has since shown that she can be picky with which female dogs she likes to share her space with and so for this reason she will now be looking for a home with a male resident dog as she much prefers the company of male dogs, or she can live as an only dog in a home where someone is around a lot of the time. She was in foster with a cat and so could possibly be homed with a dog savvy cat. Lily May will be best suited to a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who will help her settle in at her own pace. We would consider homing her with dog savvy teenagers. She is still very timid, but is taking everything gently in her stride. She can already walk on a lead, so she would enjoy one or two walks around the local area when she is settled in. She meets other dogs well on walks and is even getting comfortable greeting their owners as well, showing just how brave she is! As she has had limited experience in a home, Lily May will need patient and understanding adopters to gently introduce her to everyday routines. She will need support with learning about house training, however, she was already starting to do really well with this in her foster home. She remains sensitive to everyday noises and movements, but is beginning to cope better with gentle reassurance and support. Lily May does tolerate being handled, and this will continue to improve as her trust develops. Lily May is a sweet little girl who simply needs patience, love and reassurance. With the right family by her side, she will continue to grow in confidence and become a devoted and loving companion. She has been treated for an ear infection, and has followed up with the vets that have said it has cleared up now. This dog can be homed with a resident dog. This dog can be homed with cats.
