When Lluvia first arrived, she wouldn’t even walk. She was simply too terrified. Like so many of the dogs who came from the same place, fear had completely taken over. Every movement, every sound, every new face was overwhelming for this tiny little girl. Our volunteers have spent weeks patiently earning her trust. Never forcing her, just showing her kindness, one day at a time. Today, one of our volunteers can gently pick her up and hold her close. She’s no longer frozen with fear. She relaxes in caring arms and is beginning to understand that not all humans will hurt her. It’s a huge step forward… but the shelter is no place for a little dog like 4kg Lluvia. She shares beautifully with other dogs, has the sweetest nature, and we know she has all the makings of a wonderful companion. She just needs someone to finish what our volunteers have started. Please don’t let her spend another day wondering if she’s finally safe. Could you be the person who shows Lluvia what love really feels like?
