Our concern is a young, friendly and very curious ram rabbit named Ludolf who was brought to us as a found animal and now urgently needs people with loving understanding by his side. He is a young, friendly and very curious ram rabbit who gratefully accepts any attention - preferably from humans rather than other rabbits. We believe that Ludolf is a hand-raised rabbit because he loves being around people, he follows them all day long, has no problems with children and generally likes to be in the middle of things. Since Ludolf is a ram rabbit, we would also like to point out an important issue: His drooping ears are unfortunately the result of targeted breeding and are considered a form of animal cruelty. The restricted ventilation of the ear canals can cause health problems - which is why particularly good care and regular ear checks are important. In addition, Ludolf has been diagnosed with rabbit snuffles. We have treated him with antibiotics for four weeks, unfortunately without the hoped-for success. After more than 2–3 weeks, the condition is considered chronic. According to our veterinarians, Ludolf is not contagious. His sneezing occurs in stressful situations such as transport to the vet, new socialization and fear. If Ludof's sneezing becomes stronger and he can't handle it himself, he needs antibiotics for support, which must always be available to help him. His third challenge is his EC status, which is positive. Therefore, Ludolf may only live with other rabbits that are also EC-positive. Currently, Ludolf lives in a foster home, but he longs very much for a forever home where he will be loved and cared for despite all the problems. The little friend doesn't leave his human side, which can also be an indication that he was separated from his mother too early. He must constantly be nearby and can hardly deal with other rabbits. Nevertheless, we hope for a partner or partner for Ludolf because it is best to live among fellow species. Baustellen Kaninchen Ludolf. Unser Sorgenkind Ludolf wurde als Fundtier zu uns gebracht und sucht nun dringend Menschen, die ihm mit liebevollem Verständnis zur Seite stehen.Er ist ein junger, freundlicher und sehr neugieriger Widderbock, der jede Aufmerksamkeit dankbar annimmt – am liebsten von Menschen selten von anderen Kaninchen. Wir glauben das Ludolf eine Handaufzucht ist, denn er liebt es beim Menschen zu sein, er läuft diesen den ganzen Tag hinterher, hat keine Probleme mit Kindern und ist allgemein gerne mittendrin. Da Ludolf ein Widderkaninchen ist, möchten wir auch auf ein wichtiges Thema hinweisen: Seine herabhängenden Ohren sind leider das Ergebnis gezielter Zucht und gelten als Qualzuchtmerkmal. Die eingeschränkte Belüftung der Gehörgänge kann gesundheitliche Probleme verursachen – deshalb ist eine besonders gute Pflege und regelmäßige Kontrolle der Ohren wichtig. Dazu kommt, dass Ludolf an Kaninchenschnupfen erkrankt ist. Vier Wochen lang haben wir ihn mit Antibiotikum behandelt, leider ohne den erhofften Erfolg. Nach mehr als 2–3 Wochen gilt die Erkrankung als chronisch. Laut unserer Tierärzte ist Ludolf nicht ansteckbar. Sein niesen taucht in Stresssituation auf, wie Transport zum Tierarzt, neue Vergesellschaftung und Angst. Wenn Ludolfs niesen stärker wird und er das ganze nicht in den Griff bekommt, benötigt er zur Unterstützung Antibiotikum, was immer vorhanden sein muss um ihn damit zu unterstützen. Seine dritte Baustelle ist sein EC-Status, denn dieser ist positiv. Somit darf Ludolf nur zu anderen Kaninchen die ebenfalls EC-Positiv sind. Derzeit lebt Ludolf in einer Pflegestelle, doch er sehnt sehr nach einem Für-immer-Zuhause, in dem er trotz aller Probleme geliebt und umsorgt wird. Der kleine Freund weicht seinem Menschen nicht von der Seite, was auch ein Anzeichen dafür sein kann, das er viel zu früh von seiner Mama getrennt wurden ist. Er muss ständig in der Nähe sein und kann mit anderen Kaninchen kaum etwas anfangen. Trotzdem hoffen wir auf einen Partner oder eine Partnerin für Ludolf, denn unter Artgenossen lebt es sich am schönsten.Wer Interesse an Ludolf hat meldet sich gerne unter mit Fotos und Maße vom Gehege/Zimmer.Ludolf kennt die Außenhaltung nicht würde sich aber sicherlich freuen darüber.
