Maja was found on the border of Ballószög - she responded with growls, frightened, whenever someone approached. She was so distrustful that she could only be safely captured with a live trap. At that time, every movement of hers suggested that she carried a very bad memory. She did not seek human company, withdrew when looked at, and reacted tensely even to the smallest approach. Despite her youth, it was clear that she had not experienced much good from us, humans. Yet: Maja is changing day by day. Beautifully, slowly, in her own pace. Now she is more curious, increasingly coming over to see what we are doing. She now allows petting, and sometimes even seems to enjoy it, although she shows it with some hesitation. In her eyes, there is curiosity, and hope is growing stronger: perhaps there is indeed an person who does not hurt her, but approaches her with love. Maja doesn't need a perfect guardian, but someone who understands that trust is built slowly. A family where she will be guided with patience and lots of love along the path she has already begun - back to humans, back to life. We believe that there will come a day when Maja will greet those she loves not just with trust, but with a happy wagging tail. And perhaps you can be the one who can give this to her.

Maját Ballószög határában találták – félve, minden közeledésre morogva válaszolt. Annyira bizalmatlan volt, hogy csak élvefogó csapdával sikerült biztonságba helyezni. Akkor még minden mozdulata arról árulkodott: valami nagyon rossz emléket hordoz magában. Nem kereste az ember társaságát, elhúzódott, ha ránéztek, és a legkisebb közeledésre is feszülten reagált. Fiatal kora ellenére egyértelmű, hogy eddig nem sok jót tapasztalt tőlünk, emberektől. Mégis: Maja napról napra változik. Szépen, lassan, a maga tempójában. Ma már érdeklődőbb, egyre gyakrabban odajön megnézni, mit csinálunk. Már engedi a simogatást, sőt – mintha jól is esne neki, még ha ezt néha félve is mutatja ki. A szemében ott van a kíváncsiság, és egyre erősebben pislákol a remény: talán mégis létezik olyan ember, aki nem bántja, hanem szeretettel fordul felé. Majának nem tökéletes gazdira van szüksége, hanem olyanra, aki érti: a bizalom lassan épül. Olyan családra, ahol türelemmel és sok szeretettel kísérik tovább azon az úton, amit már elkezdett – vissza az emberhez, vissza az életbe. Bízunk benne, hogy eljön az a nap, amikor Maja nemcsak bizalommal, hanem boldog farokcsóválással fogadja majd azokat, akiket szeret. És talán te lehetsz az, aki ezt megadhatja neki.
