Tabata Date of birth: 18/05/2024 We took in Tabata because we were told she had injuries to her hips and one leg. As soon as we heard her story, we didn't hesitate. It seems this princess was hit by a car and was found that way. The little one weighs 17 kg. Once at the vet, we were told that not only is one leg affected, but both are. Her left hind leg has a fracture in the middle of the femur with displacement and has already formed a callus, so it can't be operated on anymore, but the leg is usable and will undergo rehabilitation to strengthen the muscles. On the other hand, her right hind leg has a hip dislocation, broken femoral head and broken patella, with muscle hypertrophy, and that muscle is no longer recoverable, so she has a stump leg that affects her movements and forces postures of the hip and spine to walk with the other leg. Therefore, the best option according to the vets was to operate and amputate her right hind leg to achieve a better quality of life, avoid pain and improve her mobility. Our little Tabata is a champion who has had a bad past, hence the fears she has, but as soon as she sees a friendly hand, she becomes very affectionate. She is a border collie who needs a home where she can be happy, forget the past and show that a three-legged dog can live the same life as one with four 🧡

TÁBATA Fecha de nacimiento: 18/05/2024Nos hemos hecho cargo de Tábata porque nos avisaron de que tenía heridas en las caderas y una pata mal. En cuanto nos contaron su caso, no lo dudamos. Parece que esta princesa sufrió un atropello y la recogieron así. La pequeña pesa 17 kg. Una vez en el veterinario nos dijeron que no sólo tiene una pata afectada, si no las dos. Su pata izquierda trasera tiene fractura en la mitad del fémur con desplazamiento y ya ha formado callo, por lo que no se puede operar ya, pero la pata ha quedado utilizable y se hará rehabilitación para fortalecer la musculatura. En cambio su pata trasera derecha tiene luxación de cadera, rota la cabeza del fémur y rota la unión con la rotula, a mayores los músculos tienen hipertrofia y ya no es recuperable ese músculo, por lo que le queda una pata palo que le perjudica los movimientos y fuerza posturas de cadera y columna para andar con la otra pata. Por lo que la mejor opción de acuerdo a los veterinarios era operarla y amputarle su pata trasera derecha para conseguir que tenga mejor calidad de vida, evitar dolores y mejorar su movilidad. Nuestra pequeña Tábata es una campeona que ha tenido un mal pasado, de ahí los miedos que tiene, pero en cuanto ve una mano amiga se vuelve hiper cariñosa. Es una border collie que necesita una casa donde ser feliz, olvidar el pasado y demostrar que una perra de 3 patas puede hacer la misma vida que uno de cuatro 🧡
