Tristan arrived at the pound in April 2025 at around 2 years old, together with Bosco. The two boys still share a cage and get along well, and that familiar companionship seems to give Tristan a little comfort in an otherwise very difficult environment. Tristan is a sociable, good-natured dog who genuinely enjoys being around people. He loves going out for walks and is a pleasure to walk, moving beautifully on the lead. He copes well with the world around him and takes everything in his stride. Whether it’s passing cars on the quiet gravel roads near the pound, people, donkeys, or even cats, Tristan takes it all in without much fuss. During walks, he is very attentive to the person walking him. He enjoys pausing for little training exercises, gentle mental stimulation, and sniffing in the grass, showing a lovely willingness to engage and connect. He has also been out on walks with a child and did very well. At the pound, Tristan has shared his cage with a number of different dogs over time, both male and female.
