Hello out there, some of you may have followed my story and know how I looked when I arrived here. My eyes were completely glued shut and my face was full of crusts. It’s likely that’s why I was turned away. Of course, no one really knows for sure. Here at the animal shelter, they’ve taken wonderful care of me. I’ve since been neutered and vaccinated. I’ve also gotten a chip. My eyes have been treated daily and this must continue for a while longer until I’m properly handsome again. Maybe I’ll have a scar on my eye, but that doesn’t bother me, nor, hopefully, will it bother you. I don’t really like the whole procedure of having my eyes rinsed and drops put in them three times a day, but I let it happen very willingly. In return, I love cuddles and snuggling even more! Here, I tend to be more quiet and reserved, so I would be happy with a more calm and quiet home. As I’ve only just arrived at the cat shelter, we can’t say much about my compatibility with others yet. But I think not too pushy cats (like this Dixie...) would be okay. I would like to explore the world outside again and so a quiet rural location would be great. So who dares to give me a new chance?? Please contact the animal shelter and make an appointment.

Hallöchen da draußen, einige von Euch haben meine Geschichte vielleicht verfolgt und wissen, wie ich aussah, als ich hier ankam. Meine Augen waren vollkommen verklebt und mein Gesicht voller Krusten. Vermutlich hat man mich deswegen vor die Tür gesetzt. Genau weiß man das natürlich nicht. Hier im Tierheim hat man sich toll um mich gekümmert. Ich bin inzwischen kastriert und geimpft. Einen Chip hab ich auch bekommen. Meine Augen wurden mehrmals täglich behandelt und dies muss noch eine Weile fortgesetzt werden, bis ich wieder richtig hübsch bin. Vielleicht behalte ich eine Narbe auf dem Auge zurück, aber das stört mich nicht und Dich hoffentlich auch nicht. Ich mag die ganze Prozedur von 3x täglich Augenspülen und Augentropfen nicht wirklich, lasse es mir aber sehr gut gefallen. Dafür liebe ich Streicheleinheiten und kuscheln umso mehr! Hier zeige ich mich noch eher ruhig und zurückhaltend, daher würde ich mich über ein nicht so turbulentes, sondern eher ruhiges Zuhause freuen. Da ich heute erst ins Katzenhaus gezogen bin, kann man über meine Verträglichkeit noch nicht viel sagen. Ich denke aber, nicht zu aufdringliche Katzen (wie hier diese Dixie...) wären OK. Gerne möchte ich später wieder draußen die Welt erkunden und daher wäre eine ruhige ländliche Lage toll. Also wer traut sich und gibt mir eine neue Chance??
