Leyla was previously cared for at a feeding station, where she was reported to be social with fellow animals and not afraid of people. At the animal shelter, Leyla is completely overwhelmed and is hardly seen. Most of the time, she is found in her den, where she withdraws completely and lives her life in seclusion. She does not allow herself to be touched – the new situation is simply too overwhelming for her, and the noise and presence of many other animals completely overloads her. For Leyla, we are looking for very patient, sensitive people who can give her the time she needs to build trust. People with cat experience who do not pressure her and allow her to come at things in her own time.

Leyla wurde in der Vergangenheit an einer Futterstelle betreut. Berichten zufolge zeigte sie sich dort sozial gegenüber Artgenossen und hatte keine Angst vor Menschen. Im Tierheim zeigt sich Leyla komplett überfordert und man sieht sie kaum. Meist findet man sie in ihrer Höhle, wo sie sich völlig zurückzieht und ihr Dasein fristet. Anfassen lässt sie sich nicht – die neue Situation ist für sie einfach noch zu überwältigend und die Geräusch und vielen andern Tiere überfordern sie komplett. Für Leyla suchen wir sehr geduldige, einfühlsame Menschen, die ihr die Zeit geben, die sie braucht, um Vertrauen zu fassen. Menschen mit Katzen Erfahrung , die sie nicht bedrängen und in ihrem eigenen Tempo ankommen lassen.
