Adopt Maggy

Little Maggy, a sort of a mix between a Pinscher, perhaps some Dachshund in her, arrived to us after being found on the street all alone, without a microchip. She is in great shape, with beautiful shining black fur, and she definitely is not coming from a life on the streets, so we were hoping that her humans will come looking for her, but nobody came.... Maggy is a name that volunteers gave her, and she is very human-orientated, always wants to be close to you, put her paw on your knee. She is a little bit shy, but not scared, when you first meet her, laying down on the floor, showing you her belly, and when you start petting her and showing her you mean no harm, then she becomes really happy and wiggly. The shelter environment is very stressful for her, we can see - such a little tender girl, in such a scary place. Maggy walks very well on the leash, and is very used to humans presence, so we are sure she is coming from a "normal" home environment. She would really like to find her forever home quickly, so she does not need to stay in the shelter for a long time - she is not made for this rough life! She also likes to be around other dogs, and could join a family with other dogs already waiting, or she could also be a single dog, as she is very connected to humans. We can imagine that probably in the beginning she could have some separation anxiety, after having been abandoned, so her forever humans should be willing to work with building her confidence and relaxation at her home environment, so she will feel safe and secure to stay alone at home. Her shoulder height is just 37cm, she is a very small girl.
