In her familiar environment, she is lively and open, even a bit cheeky. In new situations, however, she lacks confidence. For Mia, we are looking for people who are aware that once thawed, she is an active and demanding female dog who wants to experience life. Until then, however, she needs time, patience, structure, and guidance, as well as adapted daily routines with appropriate rest periods. How long it will take for Mia to overcome her insecurity is hard to estimate. Due to her insecurities in unfamiliar situations, we do not see Mia in an urban environment. A calm dog-friendly person would certainly be helpful for Mia. Then, Mias family should only pay attention to make sure no jealousy around food or attention arises. Mia was rescued from the street by an engaged animal rescuer in Seville. Minerva agreed to take the young female dog in PROA to find her a suitable home. Mia is a delicate, pretty Podenco, full of power and joy of living. She likes people and enjoys every minute of being together and receiving human attention. Mia generally gets along well with other dogs. However, when it comes to food, she takes no nonsense and shows clear food jealousy. She not only defends her own bowl but also attacks the four-legged roommate. Her humans must work on this problem with her, because Mia does bite if someone tries to take her bowl or food away. If Mia is rehomed with one or more other dogs, she should be fed separately at least in the initial period. Of course, Mia still has to learn some things about living with us humans. Not least, leash training. In her previous life, it seems she has not encountered a harness or leash. Dog trainer Toni is working with her, and Mia has already gotten used to wearing the harness. Mia is young and eager to learn, and she will quickly learn with consistent training and loving guidance. Mia is a cheerful, very active and lively young female dog and needs corresponding people by her side. We are looking for people who love and appreciate the characteristics of Podencos. Long walks through fields and forests, sniffing mouse holes, listening for the slightest rustle of mice, and digging devotedly are basic requirements to make a Podenco happy, and Mia will not be an exception. Mia liebt menschliche Zuwendung, sie schmiegt sich eng an und kann gar nicht genug von Kuscheleinheiten bekommen. In ihrem gewohnten Umfeld ist sie lustig und aufgeschlossen, sogar ein bisschen vorwitzig-frech. In neuen Situationen fehlt ihr hingegen das Selbstbewusstsein. Für Mia suchen wir Menschen, die sich bewusst sind, dass sie, einmal aufgetaut, eine aktive und anspruchsvolle Hündin ist, die was erleben will. Bis dahin jedoch braucht sie Zeit, Geduld, Strukturen und Führung und angepasste Tagesabläufe mit entsprechenden Ruhephasen. Wie lange es dauert, bis Mia ihre Unsicherheit abgelegt hat, lässt sich schwer abschätzen. Aufgrund ihrer Unsicherheiten in unbekannten Situationen sehen wir Mia nicht im innerstädtischen Umfeld. Ein in sich ruhender Hundefreund wäre sicherlich hilfreich für Mia. Dann sollte Mias Familie nur darauf achten, dass keine Eifersüchteleien rund um Futter oder Zuwendungen aufkommen. Mia wurde von einer engagierten Tierschützerin in Sevilla von der Straße gerettet. Minerva erklärte sich bereit, die junge Hündin in der PROA aufzunehmen, um für sie ein geeignetes Zuhause zu finden. Mia ist eine zierliche, hübsche Podenca, mit sehr viel Power und Lebensfreude. Menschen findet sie prima und genießt jede Minute des Zusammenseins und der menschlichen Aufmerksamkeit. Mit anderen Hunden kommt Mia im Allgemeinen gut zurecht. Beim Futter allerdings versteht sie keinen Spaß und zeigt sich deutlich futterneidisch. Sie verteidigt nicht nur ihren eigenen Napf, sondern stürzt sich auch auf den eventueller vierbeiniger Mitbewohner. An diesem Problem müssen ihre Menschen mit ihr arbeiten, denn Mia beißt durchaus auch zu, wenn man ihr den Napf oder Futter wegnehmen will. Sollte Mia zu einem oder mehreren anderen Hunden hinzuvermittelt werden, sollte sie, mindestens in der Anfangszeit, getrennt gefüttert werden. Mia muss natürlich noch das ein oder andere im Zusammenleben mit uns Menschen lernen. Nicht zuletzt Leinenführigkeit. In ihrem bisherigen Leben scheint sie Geschirr und Leine nicht kennengelernt zu haben. Hundetrainer Toni arbeitet mit ihr und Mia hat sich an das Tragen des Geschirrs bereits gewöhnt. Mia ist jung und lernfähig, bei konsequenter Erziehung und liebevoller Führung wird sie schnell lernen. Mia ist eine fröhliche, sehr aktive und lebendige junge Hündin und braucht entsprechende Menschen an ihrer Seite. Wir suchen für sie Menschen, die die Eigenschaften der Podencos lieben und zu schätzen wissen. Ausgedehnte Spaziergänge über Felder und durch Wälder, die Nase in Mauselöcher stecken, auf das leiseste Geraschel von Mäusen horchen und hingebungsvoll buddeln sind Grundvoraussetzungen, um einen Podenco glücklich zu machen, da wird Mia keine Ausnahme sein. Wer sich bereits für die Rasse Podenco begeistert oder sich darüber informiert und dabei sein Herz an Mia verliert, wird mit ihr als Familienmitglied jede Menge Spaß und Abwechslung erleben.
