Pip is a lovely boy who, despite his age, still enjoys exploring his surroundings and making the most of his walks. He is affectionate and enjoys a fuss, though he also has an independent side typical of his breed. While he may be selective with other dogs, he can enjoy having calm walking buddies when managed appropriately. Pip is looking for a home that understands his collie traits and can provide him with a stable, understanding environment. He is in need of a new home through no fault of his own and he is ready to bring companionship and loyalty to the right family. Pip is an 11-year-old Collie with a friendly and happy nature when meeting new people, and he would suit a calmer household that can give him the time, patience, and TLC he deserves. He can live with secondary school–aged children pending, but he is not able to share his home with other dogs, cats, or small furries due to his strong instincts and tendency to become reactive or frustrated around other animals. Pip has a medium energy level and still loves getting out and about, so he would benefit from access to a secure outdoor space where he can safely sniff and explore. Once settled, he can be left alone for a few hours, making him a manageable companion for a family or individual with a steady routine. Pip has some ongoing medical to be discussed in full with any new adopters.
