Hi, I’m Tirza. I’m a beautiful, slender cat with a calm demeanor and a gentle nature. I love hanging out near you and giving you affectionate head bumps. I’m not quite the lap cat yet (not yet, anyway), but I do enjoy snuggling up comfortably next to you. Once I’ve had a chance to quietly observe you and get used to your presence, feel free to give me a lovely pet—trust me, if you stop, I’ll make it perfectly clear that you should keep going! I prefer to spend my days in a peaceful, relaxed way. You’ll often find me by the window, gazing out at everything happening outside. If the window is slightly open, I love sticking my nose into the fresh air. Playing still feels a bit daunting for me, though I’m curious, so who knows—maybe that’ll change someday. What does instantly excite me, though, is food! As soon as you bring out my food, I’ll let you know loud and clear—eating really is the highlight of my day. By nature, I’m a calm and sweet cat, but I also have a protective side. At first, I used to get quite startled by unexpected noises and sometimes reacted strongly. These days, though, things have improved a lot, and now I usually just let out a big puff when something surprises me. Still, it’s important that my new owner understands and respects my signals. I’m not the right cat for a busy household or for people without any cat experience. I don’t get along very well with other cats either—I can get really upset around them. That’s why I’m looking for a place where I’ll be the only cat. As for dogs, I’m not entirely sure, but judging from my reactions, they probably wouldn’t be an ideal match. Small children seem too exciting for me, but older, calmer kids who understand how to interact with a cat—that could work just fine. When meeting new people, I like to take a little time to watch from a distance first, but soon enough you’ll be able to pet me, and I’ll happily come sit close by. Once I trust you, I become a very social girl who loves your company. My ideal home would be a quiet house with no other pets, where I can have all the attention and care just for myself. It’s really important to me that I can go outside, because I can really feel that I need it. I’m ready to leave the indoors behind and explore the world, enjoy being on my own, and then come back home again for some cozy moments together. Hoi, ik ben Tirza. Ik ben een mooie, slanke poes met een rustige uitstraling en een zacht karakter. Ik kom graag bij je in de buurt en geef je liefdevolle kopjes. Een echte schootkat ben ik (nog?) niet, maar ik lig wel heel graag gezellig naast je. Als ik je even rustig heb kunnen bekijken en aan je heb mogen wennen, mag je mij heerlijk aaien – en geloof me, als je stopt laat ik duidelijk horen dat je vooral nog even door moet gaan. Mijn dagen breng ik het liefst rustig door. Je vindt mij vaak voor het raam, turend naar alles wat buiten gebeurt. Als het raam op een kier staat, geniet ik ervan om mijn neus in de frisse lucht te steken. Spelen vind ik nog een beetje spannend. Ik ben wel nieuwsgierig, dus wie weet komt dat later nog. Waar ik wél meteen enthousiast van word, is eten. Als jij met mijn voer aankomt, laat ik dat luid en duidelijk horen – eten is voor mij echt een hoogtepunt van de dag. Ik ben van nature een rustige en lieve poes, maar ik heb ook een beschermend kantje. In het begin kon ik flink schrikken van onverwachte geluiden en dan reageerde ik soms heftig. Inmiddels gaat dat al veel beter en beperk ik me meestal tot een flinke blaas als iets me verrast. Toch is het belangrijk dat mijn nieuwe baasje mijn signalen begrijpt en respecteert. Ik ben geen kat voor een druk huishouden of voor mensen zonder kattenervaring. Met andere katten kan ik niet zo goed overweg, daar word ik echt boos van. Daarom zoek ik een plekje waar ik de enige kat ben. Over honden weet ik het niet goed, maar gezien mijn reacties lijkt mij dat geen ideale combinatie. Kleine kinderen vind ik te spannend, maar oudere, rustige kinderen die begrijpen hoe ze met een kat moeten omgaan, dat zou wel kunnen. Nieuwe mensen bekijk ik eerst even van een afstandje, maar al snel mag je me aaien en kom ik er gezellig bij zitten. Als ik je eenmaal vertrouw, ben ik een heel sociaal meisje dat graag jouw gezelschap opzoekt. Mijn ideale thuis is een rustig huis zonder andere dieren, waar ik alle aandacht voor mij alleen krijg. Heel belangrijk voor mij is dat ik naar buiten kan, want ik voel dat ik daar echt behoefte aan heb. Ik ben klaar met binnen zitten en wil graag op ontdekkingstocht, lekker mijn eigen gang gaan en daarna weer thuiskomen voor gezelligheid. Geef jij mij de rust, ruimte en het begrip dat ik nodig heb?
