May 2025 Beautiful Bella turned 4 years in February, sadly her owner feels guilty about not being able to give Bella the long walks and active life that she loves, so he’s made this decision to find her someone younger and more active for her future. She’s very sweet and friendly with everyone that she meets, she has a very kind nature her dad says and loves playing chasing with groups of dogs out on walks. She does have a high prey drive and if she catches the scent of a deer or pheasants she will take off, she doesn’t come back instantly but does re-emerge from the undergrowth 3-4 mins later, she also ranges on her walks so new adopters would need to feel comfortable with her checking in on you and shooting off again, her dad keeps a tracker on her so he knows where she is even if she’s out of sight, her recall at the park is good but when she gets a scent out on rural walks she can go deaf at times. She’s normally walked on a slip lead and she will walk past other dogs and show no interest in them. On a very rare occasion she has felt threatened by a group of large dogs coming towards her and did lunge, but this was out of character for lovely Bella. She is neutered and vaccinated until the end of this month, she’s fed Harrington’s kibble with a wet meaty food mixed in twice a day. Bella has been left in the living room for 2-3 hours after exercise, while her dad runs errands and she snoozes the whole time he’s out. But like most GSPs she would rather have company and loves pottering around the garden with him, sleeping in the sun and chilling on the sofa after a busy day with him. Around horses she’s been fine but her reactions aren’t known around livestock so careful introductions are advised. She hasn’t had many interactions with cats but she has wanted to chase and hunt the ones she has met. With children she has been very good, very sweet and friendly but she can still get a bit boisterous when she first meets them and could easily knock over a small child. So around 8 plus years, dog savvy children could be considered.
