PS FE, born: 01/10, male dog. Buddy, the loving senior, wandered confused along a busy street and seemingly didn't know what was happening to him. Fortunately, kind-hearted people took notice of him, found him, and brought him to the Perrera of La Oliva. Unfortunately, as is often the case, Buddy didn't have a microchip, and his owner couldn't be found immediately. The law states that found dogs must stay in the Perrera for three weeks to give the owner a chance to reclaim them. Only if no one claims the dog within 21 days can it be put up for adoption. And so, the human-loving Buddy had to wait out his time in a small cage. When it became clear that no one was missing him, our island shelter Finca Esquinzo took in the Barino-mix. During his first veterinary examination, a blood test revealed that Buddy suffers from anemia, and as a result, blood was sent to a lab. It turned out that Buddy has a strong bacterial infection transmitted by ticks, which was treated with antibiotics. His left eye is cloudy from cataracts, and otherwise, he has typical senior dog signs like bad teeth and tired bones. Buddy has settled in well at his shelter in Germany and gets along very well with the three other dogs. However, the kind-hearted old bear has won the hearts of his foster family and delights them with his charming quirks, so he can stay in foster care. The good-natured senior has earned this so much! And so, we don't want to subject Buddy to another move and are grateful to the foster family that he can spend his golden years there. Currently, Buddy is still quite fit, though he does have his age-related "aches and pains," but he doesn't need any long-term medications at the moment. Of course, this can change with age. Therefore, we wish to find loving people who are willing to take on a paternity for any future food and/or veterinary costs. Every amount helps! We thank you in advance for your help!

PS FE, geb: 01/10, Rüde. Buddy, der liebe Senior, trottete verwirrt eine stark befahrene Straße entlang und wusste scheinbar gar nicht, was mit ihm geschah. Zum Glück nahmen sich tierliebe Menschen seiner an, fingen ihn ein und brachten ihn in die Perrera von La Oliva. Wie es leider häufig der Fall ist, hatte Buddy keinen Mikrochip und sein Besitzer konnte somit nicht sofort ausfindig gemacht werden. Das Gesetz schreibt vor, dass Fundhunde 3 Wochen in der Perrera verbleiben müssen, um dem Besitzer eine Chance zu geben, den Hund abzuholen, erst wenn sich innerhalb der 21 Tage keiner meldet, darf der Hund vermittelt werden. Und so musste der menschenbezogene Buddy erst einmal in einem kleinen Zwinger ausharren. Als klar war, dass ihn niemand vermisste, nahm unsre Inselpflegestelle Finca Esquinzo den Bardino-Mischling in ihre Obhut. Bei der der ersten tierärztlichen Untersuchung wurde bei einer Blutabnahme festgestellt, dass Buddy an einer Anämie leidet, aus diesem Grund wurde Blut an ein Labor geschickt, dabei kam heraus, dass Buddy an einem durch Zecken übertragenen, starken Bakterienbefall leidet, der mit Antibiotika behandelt wurde. Das linke Auge ist vom grauen Star trüb, ansonsten hat er die üblichen Alterserscheinungen wie schlechte Zähne und müde Knochen. Buddy hat sich auf seiner Pflegestelle in Deutschland gut eingelebt und versteht sich mit den 3 vorhandenen Hundekumpels sehr gut. Der liebe, alte Bär hat allerdings die Herzen seiner Pflegefamilie im Sturm erobert und erfreut diese so sehr mit seinen liebenswerten Eigenheiten, dass er dort in Dauerpflege bleiben kann. Das hat der gutmütige Senior so sehr verdient! Und so möchten wir Buddy keinen Umzug mehr zumuten und freuen uns und danken der Pflegestelle, dass er seinen Lebensabend dort verbringen darf. Momentan ist Buddy noch recht fit, hat zwar hier und da seine altersbedingten „Zipperlein“, braucht aber momentan noch keine Dauermedikamente. Natürlich kann sich dies mit zunehmendem Alter schnell ändern. Von daher wünschen wir uns für Buddy liebe Menschen, die bereit sind eine Patenschaft für etwaige anfallende Futter- und/oder Tierarztkosten zu übernehmen. Jede Summe hilft!
