With three young children, including children with additional needs, his current family simply cannot give Frankie the love, time and attention he deserves, they are heartbroken but know he will be happier in a new home. Frankie is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves being involved in everything that is going on. He is energetic and enjoys walks, adventures and finding out where he is going next! He is a typical busy-bee dachshund who loves to know what is happening and to get involved with the action. Once he has had his walk, Frankie is more than happy to settle down and enjoy some cuddles on the sofa. If he is really lucky, his favourite place is burrowing deep under the bed covers for a cosy snooze! He is a loving boy who enjoys being close to his people and would thrive in a home where he can be fully involved in family life. Frankie has lived happily with young children but current circumstances mean that, although he is a lovely family dog, he simply isn’t getting the level of attention and interaction that he needs. He has had limited experience with other dogs but has been happy to play, so another dog in the house could be considered, subject to a successful meet. Frankie is in excellent health. He is housetrained and sleeps in his owner’s bedroom in his own bed (with occasional forays into the human’s bed!). Once he is settled, he can be left for up to four hours. Frankie is a wonderful, loving boy who is looking for an active family who will enjoy walks and adventures with him, while also appreciating his softer side when he is ready to curl up on the sofa.
