Jacinta – a Podenca with great developmental potential, Jacinta originally came from Spain and has been living for some time on a foster home in Germany. There, with much patience, calmness, and loving companionship, she has made enormous progress. At first, Jacinta was very insecure and knew little about normal dog life. But step by step, she has learned to trust her environment. Today, she strongly aligns herself with the other dogs at the foster home, lives problem-free with several cats, and increasingly shows what a frisky, playful Podenca she actually is. Jacinta loves cuddly toys, enthusiastically plays with her dog buddies in the garden, and enjoys lying closely with her people on the couch. When she feels secure, she is clingy, gentle, and sometimes even quite cheeky. Then, she “talks” to her people – with a unique mix of barking and yelping that simply tickles. In new or unfamiliar situations, Jacinta is still cautious and anxious. Walks and car rides still cause her great concern, but this is being worked on slowly and carefully. She wears her harness permanently, which she accepts well. For Jacinta, we wish for patient, sensitive people who will give her the time she needs. A confident only dog would be very important for her, as well as a garden where she can move around safely and continue to develop. Jacinta has already accomplished incredibly much. With the right people by her side, she will continue to grow and show what a wonderful, loving Podenca she truly is.

Jacinta – eine Podenca mit großem Entwicklungspotenzial Jacinta stammt ursprünglich aus Spanien und lebt nun schon seit einiger Zeit auf einer Pflegestelle in Deutschland. Dort hat sie – mit viel Geduld, Ruhe und liebevoller Begleitung – enorme Fortschritte gemacht. Anfangs war Jacinta sehr unsicher und kannte kaum etwas vom normalen Hundeleben. Doch Schritt für Schritt hat sie gelernt, ihrer Umwelt zu vertrauen. Heute orientiert sie sich stark an den anderen Hunden auf der Pflegestelle, lebt problemlos mit mehreren Katzen zusammen und zeigt immer öfter, was für eine fröhliche, verspielte Podenca eigentlich in ihr steckt. Jacinta liebt Kuscheltiere, apportiert begeistert, tobt gerne mit ihren Hundekumpels im Garten und genießt es sehr, eng bei ihren Menschen auf der Couch zu liegen. Wenn sie sich sicher fühlt, ist sie anhänglich, sanft und manchmal sogar richtig frech. Dann „spricht“ sie auch gerne mit ihren Menschen – mit einer ganz eigenen Mischung aus Bellen und Jaulen, die einfach zum Schmunzeln bringt. In neuen oder ungewohnten Situationen ist Jacinta weiterhin vorsichtig und ängstlich. Spaziergänge und Autofahren machen ihr noch große Sorgen, daran wird langsam und behutsam gearbeitet. Sie trägt dauerhaft ihr Geschirr, was sie gut akzeptiert. Für Jacinta wünschen wir uns geduldige, einfühlsame Menschen, die ihr die Zeit geben, die sie braucht. Ein souveräner Ersthund wäre für sie sehr wichtig, ebenso ein Garten, in dem sie sich sicher bewegen und weiter entwickeln kann. Jacinta hat schon unglaublich viel geschafft. Mit den richtigen Menschen an ihrer Seite wird sie weiter wachsen und zeigen, was für eine wunderbare, liebevolle Podenca in ihr steckt.
