However, when there was a new addition to the family, it quickly became clear that Johnny sees this as prey and it is dangerous to keep him in the apartment any longer. Therefore, Johnny came to us at the animal shelter. He tends to quickly get into behavioral patterns. He is very sensitive and has a low frustration tolerance. Due to the stressful situation at the animal shelter, he has difficulty calming down. Learning is difficult in this context. Nevertheless, we have already celebrated small successes with him. He has learned to wear his muzzle confidently. He relies on his primary caregiver and can be interrupted by her in case of misbehavior. Johnny knows the basic commands. The leash training is still in need of improvement. Ball or tug-of-war games are taboo for him, as he quickly turns aggressive through these. Quiet activities that require him to use his brain are well accepted by him. Unfortunately, the time at the animal shelter does not allow us to engage and challenge him more. Other dogs are only partially needed for Johnny's happiness. Dog encounters are still a big problem, as Johnny then turns into a wrecking ball. In direct contact, he can now cope with a very calm, confident female dog. Johnny is looking for stable and responsible people and lovers of this breed. Children should not live in the household and should not be planned. Johnny is a project that cannot be handled casually. He has many issues, but has also made many beautiful progress. He deserves a loving home. He needs people who can explain the world to him calmly and consistently and who are aware of their responsibility and can secure him with a muzzle. The new owners should seek the help of a dog trainer to be able to safely guide Johnny. For Johnny, we are urgently looking for a foster home, as he has a pre-existing condition with an overloaded pancreas and kidney. Because of this, the stress at the animal shelter affects him particularly hard. He is looking for a competent care family that makes the time he has left as pleasant as possible.

Somit kam Johnny dann zu uns ins Tierheim. Er neigt dazu, sich sehr schnell in Verhaltensweisen rein zu steigern. Er ist sehr reizoffen und hat eine geringe Frustrationstoleranz. Durch die stressige Situation im Tierheim kommt er nur schlecht zur Ruhe. Lernen fällt ihm in diesem Kontext schwer. Trotzdem konnten wir hier schon kleine Erfolge mit ihm feiern. Er hat gelernt, seinen Maulkorb souverän zu tragen. Er orientiert sich an seiner Bezugsperson und lässt sich von dieser bei Fehlverhalten auch unterbrechen. Johnny kennt die Grundkommandos. Die Leinenführigkeit ist noch ausbaufähig. Ball- oder Zerrspiele sind für ihn tabu, da er über diese schnell in ein Aggressionsverhalten kippt. Ruhige Beschäftigungsvarianten, bei denen er seinen Kopf anstrengen muss, nimmt er gut an. Leider lässt es die Zeit im Tierheim nicht zu, ihn hierüber noch mehr zu beschäftigen und zu fordern. Andere Hunde braucht Johnny nur bedingt zu seinem Glück. Hundebegegnungen sind noch ein großes Problem, da Johnny dann zur Abrissbirne mutiert. Im direkten Kontakt kommt er inzwischen mit einer sehr ruhigen souveränen Hündin zurecht. Johnny sucht nach standfesten und verantwortungsvollen Menschen und Liebhabern dieser Rasse. Kinder sollten nicht im Haushalt leben und auch nicht geplant sein. Johnny ist ein Projekt, das nicht nebenbei laufen kann. Er hat noch viele Baustellen, aber auch schon viele schöne Fortschritte gemacht. Er hat eine Chance auf ein liebevolles Zuhause verdient. Er braucht Menschen, die ihm ruhig und konsequent die Welt erklären und die sich ihrer Verantwortung bewusst sind und ihn mit einem Maulkorb absichern. Die neuen Besitzer sollten die Hilfe eines Hundetrainers in Anspruch nehmen, um Johnny sicher führen zu können. Für Johnny suchen wir dringend eine Pflegestelle, da er durch eine Vorerkrankung eine vorbelastete Bauchspeicheldrüse und Niere hat. Aus diesem Grund setzt ihm der Tierheimstress ganz besonders zu. Er sucht eine kompetente Pflegefamilie, die ihm die Zeit, die er noch hat, so schön wie möglich gestaltet. 03841 - 79 01 79
