This lively young dog absolutely loves the company of humans. As soon as he sees you, he greets you with overflowing enthusiasm! He enjoys celebrating so much that he doesn’t hesitate to jump on you to say hello—so you’ll want to be ready and steady to catch him! Very cuddly but still a bit rough around the edges, he’ll need some guidance to learn how to channel his exuberance. He’s starting to show interest in playing and will happily chase a ball—even if he hasn’t yet learned to bring it back. With other dogs, both males and females, Léon displays no aggression whatsoever. Occasionally, he may bristle or startle when another dog barks at him, simply because he still lacks confidence and can be easily intimidated. In terms of training, he’s beginning to understand “sit” and “down” with a little help. Walking on a leash is still a work in progress; he hasn’t quite mastered this skill yet and tends to pull hard when he wants to go somewhere. With patience, kindness, and a bit of practice, he’ll make rapid progress. Outside his play area, Léon naturally prefers staying close to people rather than wandering off on his own. When he feels even slightly anxious, he’ll spontaneously seek comfort from the person accompanying him. This behavior shows just how much he cherishes his bond with humans—and how faithfully he’ll become a companion once he’s fully confident. Léon is looking for an attentive family who’s ready to support him through his training and provide the security he needs to thrive fully. In return, he’ll offer you all his affection, trust, and an immense desire to share your everyday life.

Léon est un jeune chien très proche de l’humain quand il connaît bien. Il fait de grandes fêtes en sautant pour dire bonjour : il est très affectueux et émotif ce qui le rend un peu brusque. S’il ne connaît pas, il n’a pas du tout confiance et peut être sur la défensive. Il aura besoin de temps pour être à l’aise et devenir un super chien en votre compagnie. Il aime chahuter, courir et se dépenser. Il commence à s’intéresser au jeu : il suit la balle, mais ne la rapporte pas encore. Il a un début de « assis » et de « couché », qu’il réalise avec un peu d’aide. La marche en laisse est encore en cours d’apprentissage. Léon a de la force et peut tirer lorsqu’il souhaite aller quelque part. En revanche, lorsqu’il est en liberté dans les allées, il a plutôt tendance à rester près de nous qu’à s’éloigner. Avec les autres chiens, Léon n’est pas agressif, que ce soit avec les mâles ou les femelles. Il peut toutefois se montrer impressionné et sursauter lorsqu’un chien lui aboie dessus. Au refuge, lorsqu’un congénère équilibré lui propose de jouer, il se laisse entraîner, même s’il reste encore un peu brusque dans sa façon de jouer. En ville, il est beaucoup plus sur la défensive. Le port de la muselière sera obligatoire le temps de son apprentissage avec les chiens et les humains. Auprès de maîtres patients, expérimentés et cohérents, Léon pourra prendre confiance, canaliser son énergie et devenir un compagnon fidèle, attachant et plein de potentiel.
