Mandela was abandoned at our shelter three years ago after experiencing hell. Malnourished, mistreated, and confined in a cage, Mandela arrived famished, thirsty, extremely thin, and with numerous wounds. It took time for this dog to rebuild himself, and now he is ready to be adopted. Mandela is a dog who will be close to his humans; he is calm on walks and sociable with the humans he meets. Mandela gets along with some of his other animal companions of the same species but cannot live with them. He is not sociable with cats. Mandela will not be able to share his home with children. An apartment or house life, in the countryside or in the city, will suit him. Mandela is a sensitive dog who will require patience and gentleness. Suffering from hypothyroidism, he will need lifelong medication. Come save this touching dog who only wants to live a normal dog life without a cage.

Mandela a été abandonné au refuge il y a 3 ans après avoir connu l'enfer. Maltraité, malnutri, enfermé et attaché dans une cage, Mandela est arrivé affamé, assoiffé, excessivement maigre et avec de nombreuses plaies. Il a fallu du temps à ce chien pour se reconstruire et, maintenant, il est prêt à être adopté. Mandela est un chien qui sera proche de ses humains, il est calme en balade, sociable avec les humains qu'il croise. Mandela s'entend avec certains de ses congénères mais ne pourra pas vivre avec. Il n'est pas sociable avec les chats. Mandela ne pourra pas partager son foyer avec des enfants. Une vie en appartement ou en maison lui conviendra, à la campagne ou en ville. Mandela est un chien sensible, qui demandera patience et douceur. Atteint d'hypothyroïdie, il devra prendre un traitement à vie.
