Buddy spędził całe życie w domu. Przyjechał do obszaru Cambridgeshire jako szczeniak, pełen nadziei, i wyrósł na cichą, wrażliwą duszę, która po prostu chce należeć. Ale przez żadną winę Buddy znajduje się teraz w sytuacji, w której jego potrzeby nie mogą być dalej spełnione... i jego świat cicho został mniejszy. Obecnie Buddy zostaje pozostawiany w klatce przez długie okresy. Dla psa, który ceni obecność ludzi, to bardzo trudne. On cierpi na samotność i doświadcza lęku, choć cieszy się obecnością innego psa. Gdy doświadcza tego lęku może wykazywać destrukcyjne zachowania. Co naprawdę potrzebuje Buddy to dom, gdzie ktoś będzie obok, gdzie będzie mógł czuć się bezpiecznie i osiedleć. Buddy ma 5 lat i nadal ma dużo życia i miłości, by dać. Żyje z dziećmi i jest świetny z nimi, pokazując cierpliwość i miłość. Wiele by mu pomogło żyć razem z innym spokojnym, pewnym siebie psem, który mógłby go prowadzić i pocieszać. Nie został jeszcze przetestowany z kotami. Tak jak wielu psów, ma problemy z głośnymi dźwiękami i przyjmował leki weterynaryjne w czasie sezonu ognisk świątecznych. Na spacerach Buddy to radość. Lubi aktywność i rozwinie się w domu, który może zapewnić mu regularne ćwiczenia i przygody. Może trochę ciągnąć, jeśli zobaczy innego psa – chce tylko powitać – ale to można zarządzać i wynika z jego przyjaznej natury. W domu Buddy to cichy towarzysz. Nie jest wymagający, ale lubi osobisty, delikatny sposób ciepła. Przejdzie na głaskanie albo dotknięcie, często czekając uprzejmie, aż go zaproszysz… i jeśli przerwiesz za szybko, odchodzi z delikatnym westchnieniem – swoim subtelnym sposobem mówienia „Lubiłem to”.

Buddy has spent his whole life in a home. He came to the Cambridgeshire area as a puppy, full of hope, and has grown into a gentle, sensitive soul who simply wants to belong. But through no fault of his own, Buddy now finds himself in a situation where his needs can no longer be met… and his world has quietly become smaller. Right now, Buddy is being left crated for long periods. For a dog who thrives on having people around, this is incredibly hard. He struggles with being alone and experiences anxiety, though he does take comfort from the presence of another dog. When he experiences this anxiety he can display destructive behaviours. What Buddy truly needs is a home where someone is there, where he can feel safe and settled. Buddy is 5 years old and still has so much life and love to give. He lives with children and is wonderful with them, showing patience and kindness. He would really benefit from living with another calm, confident dog who can help guide and reassure him. He hasn’t been tested with cats. Like a lot of dogs, he struggles with loud noises and has been on vet medication around fireworks season. Out on walks, Buddy is a joy. He enjoys being active and would thrive in a home that can give him regular exercise and adventures. He may pull a little if he spots another dog - he just wants to say hello - but this is manageable and comes from his friendly nature. At home, Buddy is a quiet companion. He isn’t demanding, but he loves affection in his own gentle way. He’ll come over for a scratch or a tickle, often waiting politely to be invited… and if you stop too soon, he’ll wander off with a soft sigh - his subtle way of saying “I was enjoying that.”
