Quila del Matochar to piękna, jedenastoletnia brytanka, która urodziła się 28 czerwca 2015 roku. Quila to urocza babcia, dla swojego wieku jest niezwykle aktywna, ma nieograniczoną energię, jest bardzo żywiołowa i ciekawa. Wszystko obwąchuje. Świetnie dogaduje się z innymi psami, dzieli z nimi budę z pięcioma innymi bretanami, bez problemu dzieli z nimi przestrzeń i jedzenie. Jest bardzo przyjazna i kochana wobec ludzi, chętnie daje i przyjmuje pieszczoty i uczucia. Przybiega na zawołanie w granicach schroniska. Quila pochodzi od hodowcy bretanii w pobliżu Madrytu. Niedawno dowiedzieliśmy się, że hodowca został eksmitowany ze swojej ziemi, a jego 33 bretaniki były zagrożone. Udało mu się znaleźć nowy dom dla 15 psów, a my razem z dwoma innymi organizacjami ratowniczymi zaoferowaliśmy przyjęcie pozostałych 18 psów. Hodowca zabrał je na północ Hiszpanii, a SeBPRA przyjęło 11 bretanii. Wszystkie są psami rasowymi i były wykorzystywane do polowań, hodowli i wystawiania. Quila del Matochar is a beautiful eleven year old Brittany, her date of birth is 28/06/2015. Quila is a charming grandmother, she’s an incredibly active dog for her age, with boundless energy, very lively and curious. She sniffs everything. She is great with other dogs, she shares her kennel with five other Brittanys, she shares space and food with them without any problems. She’s very affectionate and loving with people, eager to give and receive cuddles and affection. She comes when called within the confines of the shelter. Quila comes from a Brittany breeder near Madrid. We recently heard that the breeder was being evicted from his land and his 33 Brittanys were at risk. He managed to rehome 15 of the dogs and together with two other rescues we offered to take the remaining 18 dogs. The breeder brought them up to the north of Spain and SeBPRA took on 11 of the Brittanys. All are pedigree dogs, and they will have been used for hunting, breeding and showing. Several of the dogs have Champion titles and PAN certification (Prueba de Aptitudes Naturales (Natural Aptitudes Test), an official field evaluation that assesses a dog’s natural hunting instincts and is usually mandatory before a dog can claim a Champion show title. It ensures that dual purpose breeds still retain the working breed qualities. We know Poker, Roma, Tormenta, Xiloe, and Xirius have been shown, however the Brittany is a true dual purpose breed, so these dogs are just as likely to have been out hunting last weekend as in the show ring.
