01-06-25 Ruby has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving forever home where she can finally begin to enjoy all the comforts of family life. She is a very sweet girl who is currently feeling quite worried and overwhelmed by all the changes around her, but beneath her shy exterior is a gentle nature just waiting to shine through. She is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace with understanding adopters who appreciate that life in a home will be completely new to her. Experience of worried ex-breeding dogs would be beneficial, as Ruby will need patient guidance while she learns about the world around her. Ruby takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and relies heavily on her canine friends for reassurance. She is happy to come and say hello to you when she has her friends by her side and is noticeably more worried when she does not have other dogs around. She will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help show her the way and give her confidence. Ruby has never lived in a home before and so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will also need to learn all about walking on a lead and harness and should practice in the garden until she is feeling brave enough to venture further. Ruby is a lovely, gentle soul who simply needs time, patience and understanding. In the right home, with canine companionship and lots of love, we are sure she will continue to grow in confidence and become a wonderful family member. She has some areas of alopecia, which should grow back in time once she has been spayed. Our vets have also noted that she has a small lump in her mammary area, which will be assessed at the time of her spay. Ruby has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
