Her story: Sometimes you can see right away that a dog has more to give in life – and that's exactly how it is with Wilma. Not long ago, she was found alone on the street in Bistrita, Romania, seemingly frozen in wait. Today, she no longer sits lost on the curb but lives in a foster home in Düsseldorf, where she enchants everyone who meets her. Wilma is a typical Terrier mix – and that means: a charming mix of courage, confidence, curiosity, and a healthy dose of humor. Terriers are known for their quick reactions, passion for pursuing things, and their very eager-to-learn nature. Whoever channels her energy in the right direction gets a lifelong partner who is always up for adventures – and at night, she lies next to you tired, content, and with heart-warming eyes. In the foster home, Wilma shows herself openly and friendly to everyone, completely without fear. She was even at the office for a day and managed it as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Playful, puppy-typical energetic, yet capable of settling down independently – this little energy bundle brings everything you could wish for. Wilma is curious around other animals, sometimes barks briefly as a greeting, but can be easily regulated. As a single princess, she would surely make her people happy, but she could also be a second dog – as long as the chemistry fits. Any hunting tendencies are noticeable, which is not surprising with a Terrier mix. Cats have not been tested yet. Currently, Wilma is learning the dog ABC diligently. "Sit" and "lie down" are already working in the beginning, she is practicing leash walking, and she takes boundaries surprisingly well. Of course, there are still many construction sites: driving is still stressful, house training and being alone are in progress – but she shows herself as a smart, eager-to-learn female dog who makes quick progress with positive reinforcement. What you shouldn't forget: Wilma is currently in the middle of puberty. Like all puppy teenagers, that means: sometimes joyfully soaring to the skies, sometimes on a power walk. Things that worked yesterday are seemingly deleted today – but with humor, patience, and loving consequences, you can also master this phase. Afterward, a young female dog remains who is strengthened by life and forms an unbeatable team with her family. For Wilma, we are looking for a home that offers her the right mix of stimulation, structure, and security. An active environment where walks, play, and perhaps a visit to a positively working dog training class are part of the everyday routine. People who enjoy working with a Terrier mix are rewarded with intelligence, loyalty, and a lot of fun. A garden would certainly be a dream for Wilma, but it's not a must – as long as she gets enough adventures outside. Wilma is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings her EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive assessment. Ihre Geschichte: Manchmal sieht man einem Hund direkt an, dass er mehr will vom Leben – und genau so ist es bei Wilma. Vor nicht allzu langer Zeit wurde sie mutterseelenallein auf der Straße in Bistrita, Rumänien gefunden, scheinbar im Warten erstarrt. Heute sitzt sie nicht mehr verloren auf dem Bordstein, sondern lebt in einer Pflegestelle in Düsseldorf, wo sie alle verzaubert, die sie kennenlernen. Wilma ist ein typischer Terrier-Mix – und das bedeutet: eine charmante Mischung aus Mut, Selbstbewusstsein, Neugier und einer ordentlichen Portion Humor. Terrier sind bekannt dafür, blitzschnell zu reagieren, Dinge mit Leidenschaft zu verfolgen und gleichzeitig sehr lernfreudig zu sein. Wer ihre Energie in die richtigen Bahnen lenkt, bekommt eine Partnerin fürs Leben, die immer für Abenteuer zu haben ist – und abends müde, zufrieden und mit Herzchenaugen neben einem liegt. In der Pflegestelle zeigt sich Wilma offen und freundlich gegenüber allen Menschen, völlig ohne Scheu. Sie war sogar schon einen Tag im Büro dabei und hat das, als wäre es das Normalste der Welt, gemeistert. Verspielt, junghundetypisch energiegeladen und trotzdem in der Lage, selbstständig zur Ruhe zu kommen – dieses kleine Energiebündel bringt alles mit, was man sich wünscht. Mit Artgenossen ist Wilma neugierig, manchmal bellt sie kurz zur Begrüßung, lässt sich aber gut regulieren. Als Einzelprinzessin würde sie ihre Menschen sicher glücklich machen, aber auch als Zweithund können wir sie uns vorstellen – sofern die Chemie passt. Jagdliche Tendenzen sind erkennbar, was bei Terrier-Mischlingen kaum überrascht. Katzen konnten bisher nicht getestet werden. Aktuell lernt Wilma fleißig das Hunde-ABC. „Sitz“ und „Decke“ klappt schon in Ansätzen, Leinenführigkeit übt sie ebenfalls, und sie nimmt Grenzen erstaunlich gut an. Natürlich gibt es noch viele Baustellen: Autofahren ist noch stressig, Stubenreinheit und Alleinbleiben sind in Arbeit – aber sie zeigt sich als schlaue, lernfreudige Hündin, die mit positiver Verstärkung schnell Fortschritte macht. Was man nicht vergessen darf: Wilma ist gerade mitten in der Pubertät. Wie bei allen Hundeteenagern heißt das: mal himmelhoch jauchzend, mal auf Durchzug geschaltet. Dinge, die gestern noch saßen, sind heute scheinbar gelöscht – aber mit Humor, Geduld und liebevoller Konsequenz meistert man auch diese Phase. Danach bleibt eine junge Hündin zurück, die gestärkt durchs Leben geht und mit ihrer Familie ein unschlagbares Team bildet. Für Wilma suchen wir ein Zuhause, das ihr die richtige Mischung aus Auslastung, Struktur und Geborgenheit bietet. Ein aktives Umfeld, in dem Spaziergänge, Spiele und vielleicht auch der Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule zum Alltag gehören. Menschen, die Freude daran haben, mit einem Terrier-Mix zu arbeiten, werden mit Intelligenz, Loyalität und jeder Menge Spaß belohnt. Ein Garten wäre sicher ein Traum für Wilma, aber kein Muss – solange sie draußen genügend Abenteuer erleben darf. Wilma ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Sie bringt ihren EU-Heimtierausweis mit und kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro in ihr neues Zuhause ziehen.
