Video Gladys and Freddie: Video 2 Gladys and Freddie: This handsome tabby cat is called Gladys and we estimate that she was born around January 14, 2020. Gladys was found together with a whole group of other cats. They were roaming without an owner and therefore were caught and safely brought to the animal shelter. That was very exciting for her, but she became friends with the handsome tomcat Freddie and they could hide together. At the end of February, they were lucky enough to go to a foster family for further socialization. In the foster family, Gladys is taking cautious steps. Where we hardly saw her at first, because she would hide whenever we came in, she now stays on the bed more and more often. She also eats some treats when we are in the room. Touching is really still too much. Gladys is a modest cat, she doesn't hiss or scratch, but she runs away if she finds it too exciting. As soon as we leave the room, she becomes more relaxed. Via the camera we see her busy with balls, she can play enthusiastically with them and run through the room. Gladys and Freddie often walk around with their heads up and tails up, together through the room, very cute. So they have really found each other and will be placed together. Gladys has sensitive intestines. She is currently getting special food for this and it is under control, so it is important that she gets this in her new home as well. For Gladys and Freddie, it is important to have a lot of patience. We are looking for people who accept them as they are and give them time to adjust and gain trust. In the animal shelter, they liked to be outside, so a well-fenced garden would be nice. Children and dogs will be too unpredictable and exciting for them. Filmpje Gladys en Freddie: Filmpje 2 Gladys en Freddie: Deze knappe lapjespoes heet Gladys en we schatten dat ze rond 14 januari 2020 is geboren. Gladys is gevonden samen met een hele groep andere katten. Ze zwierven rond zonder eigenaar en daarom zijn ze gevangen en veilig naar het asiel gebracht. Dat vond ze erg spannend, maar ze werd vriendjes met de knappe kater Freddie en zo konden ze samen schuilen. Eind februari hadden ze het geluk dat ze naar een pleeggezin mochten voor verdere socialisatie. In het pleeggezin maakt Gladys al voorzichtige stapjes. Waar we haar eerst nauwelijks zagen, omdat ze wegdook zodra we binnenkwamen, blijft ze nu steeds vaker liggen. Ook eet ze al wat lekkers als wij in de kamer zijn. Aanraken is echt nog een stap te ver. Gladys is een bescheiden poesje, ze blaast of slaat niet, maar rent weg als ze het te spannend vindt. Zodra wij de kamer uit zijn komt ze meer los. Via de camera zien we haar druk in de weer met balletjes, daar kan ze fanatiek mee spelen en de kamer door rennen. Gladys en Freddie lopen ook vaak al kopjes gevend en met de staartjes omhoog, samen door de kamer, erg schattig. Ze hebben elkaar dus echt helemaal gevonden en worden samen geplaatst. Gladys heeft last van gevoelige darmen. Ze krijgt hier nu speciale voeding voor en daarmee is het onder controle, dus het is belangrijk dat ze dit in haar nieuwe huis ook krijgt. Voor Gladys en Freddie is het belangrijk om veel geduld te hebben. We zoeken mensen die hen accepteren zoals ze zijn en ze de tijd geven om te wennen en vertrouwen te krijgen. In het asiel lagen ze graag buiten, dus een goed afgezette tuin zou fijn zijn. Kinderen en honden zullen te onvoorspelbaar en spannend voor ze zijn. Gladys heeft haar ontworming, ontvlooiing en vaccinaties gehad en ze is geneutraliseerd. Ze is dus helemaal klaar om te verhuizen.
